What’s your muse’s strongest talent?
To surprise of many people, Akira’s strongest talent is to write poetry. Being alone and lost in his own thoughts for the start of his journey has given him time to reflect. Are the poems happy? God no. There the type where he’s pondering about if saving the woman was worth it. And other times are him questioning himself if he should interfere with things that are technically none of his business. There’s also poems about him being mad at the police force for being owned by men with power and influence. How people tend to throw away someone who is deemed to be ‘garbage’ by society even though he was falsely accused. Few unfinished scribbled clips can also be found in his writing about friendship and bonds with how the bonds can be broken by misunderstandings. Things about lying, a core theme in persona five, also appear within his notes. It’s not just something he was forced to do like with the probation journal. After the thieves enter his life, it’s more colorful. There’s also a little bit of pining for both the emperor and empress too but it’s more coded than the rest in case someone was somehow able to obtain the papers. His love of poetry comes down to him being taught early on by his mother. Maya Amano is known in the persona universe to be really great at poems. Even surpassing Marie’s in depth. And I personally believe when Akira was younger, about 5-6 years old, the best way to connect with his mom was learning the poems along with her. He just didn’t inherit the ‘whoopass time!, he learned a lot of valuable things that have stuck with him even with his perception of her not caring for him during the home expulsion.
What topics of conversation does your muse enjoy the most?
Akira’s very interested in memes and trending things on the internet. Memes are his life and a good way to cope with all the negativity that has been forced upon him during his journey. He can become too invested in them sometimes so he will try and engage in what other people are currently talking about. But he will get bored and go back to what he wants to talk about. He’s not going to change his personality too much. If he wants to say ‘beep boop’, he will say ‘beep boop’. He’s not going to seal himself away. It’s not healthy and Akira knows it. Of course, the topics wouldn’t get too mean or ‘dickish’ as Ryuji says Akira is at times. If he meets someone who is really good at poetry, ( see the above post ) and are questioning what would make it better or requesting feedback, Akira would most definitely add to the conversation. Whether he comes up with something that helps them or not is up to the other person. Meeting and talking to Marie would end up in him probably getting yelled at but who knows about the rest he comes in contact with.
How creative is your muse?
He’s creative but not as much as Yusuke is. He knows there’s more to life than just art or hobbies. He knows that a good balance of social and personal life if more healthy to have. Does he really just want to sleep the day away or play video games? Hell yes! But he also wants to hang out with his friends, his social links, and also the hobo guy that makes no sense that lives behind Le Blanc. He was prone more to write poems during his first days but stopped after he had some type of purpose again. He becomes a little more creative while buying armor and SP accessories but that’s just for the Metaverse. Actually, it’s to make sure his friends don’t die on him or keel over. Akira would had never thought about those things as being creative if he had never went there in the first place. There’s little doodles on napkins when he’s bored but that’s just him doing something to get his mind away from his absentmindedness and thoughts.
Send my muse “👀 + a question” and they’ll have to answer with 100% honesty. Do you think the Phantom Thieves are honestly doing good?
A very heavy question given the circumstances. Would he actually answer honestly here? Giving away too much here couldn’t be wise since it’s coming from a complete stranger. Who knew if this was a trap or not? Akira’s not as energetic or proud like Ryuji is about being the phantom thieves but he knows the weight of the group as a whole.
He’s more like Yusuke in that respect. Yes, they are doing a good thing. Helping those in need but Akira also knows about the other side. How their actions to the general public don’t always seem to think in their ways. Akechi and Sae Nijima don’t approve of the actions, even call it brainwashing. Both sides has their share of opinions. Neither was in the right.
Akira still has his doubts about the whole thing but he doesn’t want to let the others know. He’s just as inexperienced in this even with his ‘joker’ code-name. He has to act strong for the rest. Like an older brother in a sense. Akira knows some of the team are older than him but he still thinks as himself like this. He doesn’t know why or how. Maybe because of his own mother being more of an older sister rather than a parent is what makes him think this way.
“What I think is relevant in the long run. There are many people who have both benefited and took away something from everything that has happened. I have keep repeating to myself that you can’t save everyone. It’s painful yeah. It even sucks sometimes but you gotta keep positive. They are making change in the world and some people don’t care for change. Even try to run away from it but sometimes you got to stand up, even if you get punished for it. The right way is sometimes the hard way”.
Battle Tactics.
Mainly based off my gameplay, Akira spams tekaran and makaran spells or has Haru give them to the main team. He also buys the gel items that can make physical and magical barriers at Tae’s shop as well. It’s just as important as SP recovery items to him. His teammates look at him and wonder why he has bought so many. Akira tends to ignore those looks because he knows of Ann’s cake buying habits or Yusuke buying paint supplies instead of food so he figures, this will help the team in the long run so hell with all the looks he’s been given.
This will work against him when the enemy uses almighty attacks or is smart enough to figure out what he’s doing but Akira is still going to try to figure that out at a later date.
what “Dere” type you think my muse is most like/would be! DANDERE - refers to a character who is often silent and to themselves. It may be due to shyness or just because they’re the quiet type. However, when alone with the person they are attracted to, they usually come out of their shell and become more loving.
KUUDERE -  refers to a character who is often cold, blunt, and cynical. They may seem very emotionless on the outside, but on the inside they’re very caring — at least when it comes to the ones they love.
More Kuudere than Dandere but yeah both could work here. He’s not that shy, he’s just a little cynical on the outside for showing his heart a little too much. Like doing the right thing but then getting punished makes him shrink a little each day. The two steps forward three steps back makes him seem distant if that makes sense. It’s not until he makes friends that makes him open up more with the jokes and constant hovering and giving two fucks.
On a side note; I know I shouldn’t compare characters but I see a lot of similarities with him and Maya Amano ( not to mention that in a certain verse, she is his mother ), doing nothing wrong but are constantly told to die and give up. For instance, how the phantom thieves practically run up to him just like the p2 group practically ran to Maya. Not to mention the similar reaction to their ‘death’. Similar but not the same though. Akira’s not used to being treated as older sibling to each of them, even the ones who are older than him however. A sounding board if you will. But deep down he realizes that’s what he wants. To have someone who is willing to listen to what he says because his voice has been not heard in so long.
