We’re really lucky to have a neighbor who not only has a green thumb, but is happy to share his abundance. His organic tomatoes and peppers are so beautiful I have to take pictures of them. He tells me they are purple Cherokees and Romas, green zebras and others whose names I can’t remember. Their flavor is out of this world. He’s happy because he knows that not a single one will go to waste in our house.

Coming up on this week’s menu: a tomato tart. Or two.

A melancholy tray of tomatoes. This is the last of our garden tomatoes. This tray is one of three we’ve had on our dining table since mid-October, and those trays were much larger than this one. When we harvested them most were green, and I’m so grateful for how they ripened over the past month-plus. Happy Mystery #TomatoTuesday! . This volunteer sprouted in the raised bed waaay before my seedlings got going, & now has these interesting striped green toughies. . Somewhat similar to the @artisan.seeds Green Bees that the rats enjoyed so much last year here, but more elongated than the rounder Green Bees. Very thick stem & leaves, too. . Perhaps this is the lowbrid 🤓 . Tried one today. Hey Lovelies. Tonight, I was gonna write a bunch of stuff but then I found this video of Rhys sending some love and encouragement, and I felt like it was needed more than anything else. I haven't gotten permission to share the full video on here yet, so if I do I'll get it posted. For now, @lividturkeys posted an uplifting section that I think we all need to hear tonight.
