"This doesn't go beyond this tanight, 'kay? I ain't willin' ta negatively compromise the relationship we've started, darlin'. Remember, no sex... Makin' out is fine, cuddlin', huggin', stuff like that in person, but no sex." He raised his eyebrows at her, then nodded slowly.

He pulled her against him, bent down a bit, and pressed his lips against hers. It was a deep, slow kiss, full of love and want and need.

Tolaas grinned after sucking on her upper shoulder long enough to give her a hickey. Anne had already said she didn't mind being 'marked, so to speak, so... They hadn't crossed the boundary they set for themselves yet, so a hickey was given...

Anne groaned softly as she turned her head on the pillow. Her whole body ached, her head especially. Not sleeping properly did that to a person. Opening her eyes she saw a familiar face sitting by her bedside. She reached out a hand to Tolaas. "You stayed."

He took her hand and brought it to his lips, kissing it tenderly. Then he leaned forward and brushed some hair from her face. "A'course I did, love," he said, smiling softly. "Ya said ya needed me ta stay with ya. So I stayed with ya."

She was beautiful at all times, but especially when she slept. It was when, usually, she relaxed fully, and the face she showed the world, the mask she hid behind, fell away. And the night prior, when she asked him to stay because she needed someone to watch over her because of nightmares, Tolaas was only too happy to do so. He had his share of nightmares, and the people he loved never had a problem staying with him. Who was he to deny them, especially since this one, one so special, asked. And between those nightmares, he continued to see her true face. He'd seen it before, a few times, when they were cuddling on a quiet night, or slowly making out. And it was always beautiful.
