IEC holders planning to file documents at ICEGATE using RES are urged to promptly register at the new Registration Module. Before initiating the registration process, it's essential for all users to utilize their Individual Type Class III DSC tokens connected to their systems. During registration, users must upload their DSCs.
It's imperative to note that the PAN details of the applicant will undergo verification against the PAN database of the Income Tax department. Additionally, the applicant entity must upload a copy of the PAN during the registration process. It's crucial to ensure that the name provided during ICEGATE registration matches the name on the PAN card.
Only G-Card holders are permitted to register as CHA employees since they possess the capability to digitally sign documents using DSC. Conversely, H-card holders do not have this authorization.
Upon registration on ICEGATE, an entity can have only one parent user, with other users registered as child users.
The ICES registration number provided during registration is utilized for obtaining information from ICES directories and is displayed for verification purposes. Data collection commences only after the applicant verifies their data.
In the event that the IEC-authorized person is no longer employed by the IEC holder, the IEC holder possesses the authority to disable the IEC-authorized person. Therefore, IEC holders are encouraged to disable the IEC-approved person in the ICEGATE Registration module.
