CCS: Clear Card Ch. 50

We’ve reached 50 chapters!! So, CCS Clear Card anime S2 when??

I’m surprised Sakura just went straight to talking to Momo. But also so Sakura?? I guess in the panic of things... there’s no time to waste in freaking out over talking plushies, since she’s already seen many in her life...?

Also, wow, to think Eriol had to do these things to kinda conceal Sakura from being discovered...? Big move.

It’s the book again! You know... my feelings towards this book is ALMOST like how I feel about #theEGG from xxxHOLiC... sigh.

Wow, so much to unpack. My brain hasn’t wrapped around all the stuff yet. I’ll just focus on a few things (mainly Momo, and where Sakura’s landed herself) for now. May come back to revisit this later...

Okay, so like some “background” stuff that Momo revealed to us was that Eriol (and Kaho) had used a spell to kinda mask/hide how power Sakura is, or how powerful she could become... that’s pretty big news. I think this kinda emphasizes just how powerful Sakura is overall--it’s not like she just GREW to be powerful, but she always had that potential in her. Of course, it was probably only a matter of time before others will begin to notice Sakura’s powers, with her creating the Clear Cards and such too. I’m very interested about Momo’s origins though. Her true form is absolutely gorgeous, and I’m very curious about her true name!! Anyways, the way she talks about Clow and Eriol... it seems like she’s VERY familiar with him, like know about his guardians, and like what Eriol did to protect Sakura. I wonder if she was around when Clow was around... maybe??

So from this chapter, we see that Momo is acting on her own--independently from Kaito. Meaning if he had his way, this would probably not be his approach, that, or he wouldn’t be involving Momo at all. And also, for Kaito to not be able to act this time, it shows how serious things are cuz it looks like he’s really at his limit..!! Also, it SEEMS like it’s an actual big deal for Momo to be doing this and in her true form, so yes, very curious about her origins. I mean, if there’s anything we know about CCS or CLAMP, we know that not all “villains” are simply “villains” and it seems like Momo’s role here is similar to like what Yue/Eriol were like for Sakura when she faced her different trials.

Now, this world that she’s ended up in, presumably as “Alice” now, given how Momo has addressed her. I’m thinking it’s possible that Sakura’s ended up in a world (the cardboard-y structures makes me wonder if this is related to their school play...) where “Sakura” does not exist, given by how Fujitaka reacted to her. Either Sakura doesn’t exist at all, or her existence has been replaced by Akiho (or maybe Akiho/Sakura-swapped existence situation). I wonder if like this was always the plan (like what Kaito wanted to eventually do) and Momo’s just letting Sakura experience it a little.

And, and, Momo’s words as Sakura’s being transported... gives me bad feelings!! ( °͈▵°͈)
