A very belated voice lesson update post (but what else is new, haha): my first aria & lieder (that I got three months ago)! My voice teacher said I’d be getting a new lieder piece this week (“Die Lotosblume”—he played a bit of it & it’s lovely!) & I’m still working on Mimi’s song. 💖🌹🎼 I actually worked up the courage to ask if I could work on a musical theatre piece as well (go me!)! My teacher said he’d bring me something that he didn’t think I would know, so I’m definitely intrigued! 💖🎼 (Also, I still need to post closet cosplay pictures from when I went to Cats. Guess who’s going to have voice lessons for the first time ever?! 💖 My dance studio added musical theatre classes last year for students & adults—I can’t take the adult class as it’s when I have choir rehearsal (haha), but they’re offering private voice lessons, too! I’ve been in some sort of choir or another for most of my life (school, church, & now university/community choir), but I’ve never had voice lessons. I’m super-excited!
