Wait pause I’m like almost done with Fairy Tail but quick question

After Cana breaks Mavis out of the lacrimal, is she just?? Cured of the Cures of Ankhseram??

I was thinking about what a cool plot point that was that she too was inflicted with this Curse of Contradiction and the different effects it had on her compared to Zeref and how the affected each other right and then I realized... It just?? Wasn’t happening??

And then Makarov called out on the battle field that Mavis was looking at Fairy Tail like pawns in a game and I figured that must be why it wasn’t activating and when Makarov fuckin died I thought that’d be a really cool place to reactivate the curse, sense it was Makarov’s birth in the first place that triggered it’s effects

And then it didn’t

So genuine question; Does it come back up again or is she just cured for plot sake??

#I just think it would have been neat if Makarov dying caused her to rerealize the importance of life #thus reactivating the curse of contradiction #Look it's my FAVORITE plot point so far but if this program is going to inflict and cure it at random I'm gonna be upset #Fairy Tail #Like can you image!!!#Makarov dies and Mavis in her sobbing breakdown started emitting that death cloud Zeref makes #Sense she'd yet to do that and has only accidentally killed one person #As opposed to Zeref's thousands #Would this mean everyone not doing one on one fights atm would have died to Mavis' breakdown?#Yes probably.#But like. I think it'd be worth it.#This happened in my self insert version of Fairy Tail because my S/I can block the death cloud so that's cool #no idea how to make it work in real canon tho but I still think it should have happened #Makarov is Mavis' death trigger I think that's cool
