Littlestar hops up onto the ledge stone to call a clan meeting.
"Rainkit please step up!"
He scampers up eagerly.
"You are ready to become an apprentice. You will be known as Rainpaw and I will mentor you myself."
Littlestar comes down to touch noses with him.
Patchlight shouts his sons new name the loudest.
Also Orangenectar got heat exhaustion.

Snakes and babies (Moon 5) Part 1.
Sleetglare has a long and rough labor. Giving birth to one kit
She is exausted and trembling at the end, but she's done it. The baby looks healthy and strong, if on the small side.
Whitewater comes to visit Sleetglare and the newborn, pressed to her fathers side. He had always been so sturdy, but lately it seems he has been waivering. She doesnt like to think about it.
She feels a strange shifting of the earth under her paws, and someone yelps that theres an adder in the nursery.
She pounces, not even sure how she located the scaly creature. Its texture is strange as she bites down onto it.
Sleetglare names her daughter Waterkit to honor Whitewaters actions. Whitewater is embarrassed. Sleetglare also gives her niece some juniper to wear as an extra thank you.

Carnationface announces that she will be having kits as well. Every cat loses their whole entire mind.
Also theres a dog out there, and the clan decides to keep an eye out for it. Hoping it dosent actually come on to their territory.

Sleetglare announces that she is expecting kits. at 203 moons old. Everyone is utterly speechless.
A kit is found near the border, crying and begging a cold body to wake up. He Is comforted and brought back to camp. Where Patchlight takes over his care. His name is Rain, so he is called Rainkit.
As Patchlight cradled the shivering body of Rainkit. He can't help but think. He had always wanted to be a father. But maybe not like this.

That was quick (Moon 1)
Swiftstwipe leaves into the night, and is found dead later on. It looks as if she had found a nice spot to curl up and rest.
Tall-lily curls up next to her mothers body and sighs. Tears dancing at the edge of her vision.
When Whitewater is told, she clings to her mothers pelt and sobs.
Tall-lily sighs and loops her tail around Whitewaters, chirping as a warning that she was going to touch her.
Whitewater barely responds at all. Too busy mourning her mother.
When Swiftswipe is well and truly buried Heavysnow comes to Littlestar. "I'm going to retire." He says.
Littlestar hums softly. "I'm sorry to hear that Heavysnow. You've been a great deputy, but I understand. You take your time, support your daughters. I-I have no idea who I'll pick but-"
"Can I make a recommendation?"
"Oh? Yes please do."
"Tall-lily."
"Tall-lily. She's a good warrior, but do you think she's going to work out for the long run?"
"I believe she will put her clan first, and do her best."
"Then that's all I can ask her. Thank you Heavysnow."
He bows his head and returns to his daughters.
The next morning Littlestar approaches Tall-lily and tells her the news. "I will make announcement at sunhigh."
She nods. "Very well. I will serve you and Thunderclan the best I can."
Gingerblossom comes back to camp with a broken leg.
