This fire season has been unprecedented, homes are burning, people are dying, wildlife is suffering, 500 million innocent animals have died in the fires, trees, the lungs of our planet, our oxygen, are burned down. This is not normal, this is climate change. Nearly half a BILLION animals have suffered and died. Thousands of people have been evacuated, thousands have lost their homes, some have lost their lives and there is much more to come. Predictions are that we'll continue to see more extreme weather-caused disasters in the near future due to an increase in the Earth's temperature. The United Nations have said that the NUMBER ONE thing you can do to avoid increased temperature related catastrophes and keep the Earth cool is to go vegan! That is a HUGE part of the solution the Earth needs for so many reasons. It's an evolution to a better normal. A new moral baseline. A more sustainable way of life. Healthier, happier humans and the direct path to a world without slaughterhouses! Granted, one person won't make much of a difference. That's why EVERYONE should go vegan! Australia is currently on fire and nobody seems to care. These are the effects of climate change in action - right here, right now. We are getting no help from international aid. Hell, we aren’t even making international news. Bushfires are destroying communities and ecosystems at a rate which has gone far beyond alarming, taking wildlife and fauna along with it. We have lost 950,000 hectares of bush and nobody is doing anything. That’s more than the damage caused by the Amazon bushfires - and it will only get worse from here. Even the PRIME MINISTER couldn’t give less of a shit unless the bushfires get to one of his precious coal mines. Until then all he is willing to do is hand out thoughts and prayers like a lady at the school office handing you a uniform slip for having a tick on your socks. At least I can wipe my ass with one of those things. NSW and QLD are suffering the most, although there are bushfires rampant in every state. 3 people and 350 koalas as well as countless other wildlife are now DEAD. These fires are STILL active and burning away our country. If these fires were in America they would be making global news and donations from all over the world would pour in to put them out, yet we can’t even get on a news broadcast? Spread the news that we are burning and that we need help.
