I loved AOC... I loved her SO much. Her and Bernie were a few of the people I was so terribly sad and disappointed to see with their neutral reactions to the disproportionate violence and genocide happening in Gaza against Palestinian people -and still, apart from Bernie changing his tune a little -AOC's advocacy doesn't include a permanent ceasefire or an end to a violent occupation.

But first things first -this isn't a war -it's a genocide.

The 'gravity' she speaks of in this clip should actually refer to the US being complicit in the deaths of 40,000 Palestinian people -the gravity of this should be that the US government still has the audacity to not demand a permanent ceasefire -but instead VETO it every single time.

It has been horrific for over half a year now (and even before October 7th), and the threshold that she speaks of that is now unacceptable to her -that makes what is happening a genocide is the 'forced starvation' she speaks of (which is, yes, inhumane -but it is one of the many cruel, torturous, and inhumane things the IOF has been doing for a long time now). This sounds like pathetic lip service from her considering how she has been neutral for months as I said.

Once the IOF started bombing Gaza -when the humanitarian trucks that went into the city decreased almost tenfold -this was going to happen inevitably. Famine is in Gaza because the US and Israhell have been and are starving Palestinian people. I don't know where the hell AOC has been but many Palestinian people have been only have 1 meal a day for a long time. Not to mention how over 95% of their water is undrinkable. This is just beyond embarrassing for her.
