dragoon theorycrafting: FRESH DRAGOON LORE FOR THE FIRST TIME IN SIX YEARS (new Rising story)
SIX YEARS.
FINALLY WE ARE GIVEN A NUGGET OF DRAGOON LORE.
(I'm counting the Stormblood side story in this yes)
HERE HAVE MY STREAM OF CONSCIOUSNESS UNDER THE CUT

So where to begin? First off, we're setting Estinien to the side and the fact he's drinking off to the side as well. We'll get back to it, don't worry.
MOTHERFUCKING HALDRATH MAKES A GODDAMN APPEARANCE! AND WE ALSO GET A NEW DOT ON THE OVERALL TIMELINE!
Ratatoskr's death is in 545. Twenty years later puts this in 565, which means Haldrath has been witness to the gross rewriting of history that's taken place in Corethas.
(also shoutout to @mariyekos and their Haldrath -> Estinien theory let's gooo~~)
So the first Azure Dragoon's shown up, and he is not in a good way. Nidhogg's Eye (the first) has fused itself to his armor, and is now effectively corrupting Haldrath's flesh. He's beginning to have fits more frequently and intensely --moments where Nidhogg's will threatens to override his own. Haldrath has been a solitary hunter of dragons for twenty years, and he is fucking tired. His will is starting to falter.
He passes out from fighting another dragon, and wakes up a while later to find himself in a tavern. And much to his surprise and pleasure, he's among friends-- one of the original Twelve knights who survived and (wisely, I might add), fucked off once Nidhogg was robbed of his original eyes.
Ser Aureniquart de Cordillelot, who decided to open a tavern, and is insinuated in lore to have been the founder of the Forgotten Knight. It's his daughter Berteline who found Haldrath, and she's been raised on stories of him as the dragonslayer. She wishes to be a dragoon like him too!
Berteline however, admits that she didn't find Haldrath on her own, that a voice that sounded like 'storm winds' led her to him. Haldrath, who has recognized that Berteline has drive and passion, realizes that the young woman's been lured by Nidhogg's eye.
(And here is when we enter the territory of fuckery)
At this point, Haldrath makes a choice. He's doing this on the fly, but also probably had been stewing on his thoughts for a while. He's tired. On his last legs. This is probably not how he wanted to do it, but he's got no choice. And Halone seems to have merciful enough to let him be in a safe and warm environment among friends.
Haldrath tells Berteline that she's heard Nidhogg's voice, that the Eye seeks out those who desire power. That it's fused to him, that it's corrupting him, and he is in danger of becoming the elder wrym's thrall. And if that happens, he will be a mighty threat to Ishgard, which is still finding its feet. He looks Aureniquart in the eye and asks that his old friend, his brother knight, kill him before that happens.
Aureniquart refuses to pick up arms against Haldrath.
(side note: I'm wondering if Aureniquart was possibly Haldrath's First Knight/general 2IC.)
Haldrath, before the Eye tries for the final time to take him, also officially recognizes Berteline as the new bearer of the evil orb and names her his full successor.
Berteline de Cordillelot is now charged as the second Azure Dragoon. We won't have another named Azure Dragoon show up until 761, when Valeroyant fends off Nidhogg. (Valeroyant dies two years later in 763).
We are also given confirmation that Azure Dragoons essentially are on a limited lifespan once they receive the Eye. This possibly gives new meaning to this:
When searched on Google, score is equal to twenty years. Two score and ten equals 50 years. Ere means 'before'.
Basically? 'Your ass will be dead before you turn fifty.'
Which in the story, makes sense because:
Aureniquart has aged. It's possible that by this time, he and Haldrath were in their mid-40s, if they were in their 20's back in 545.
Becoming the Azure Dragoon is a death sentence. And now your mileage is gonna vary, because not everyone's gonna have the same mindset regarding power and duty and protection of Ishgard. We have the door open for some high level shenanigary here! An Azure Dragoon who may not have wanted to pick a successor? An Azure Dragoon who might have been forced into the job?
(No no we're not discussing Alberic don't @ me I'm typing this out on my phone and it's taking me forever WE WILL POKE AT HIM LATER)
Anyroad.
Haldrath feels one final fit coming on, and knows this is the one that he can't fight against. Nidhogg will claim him. He needs to die. He realizes almost too late that Aureniquart can't kill him, because of the bond of love/friendship/battle blood/loyalty to my liege and he's cursing him to suffer another sin. But Berteline steps up to the plate, puts her hands on the spear, and helps her father perform the mercy kill.

Aureniquart: Perma-traumatized now. Man gets like twenty years of peace and then it just gets blown outta the water. Had to kill your leige-lord as he lay dying on your floor, under your roof, violation of sanctuary and hospitality and your sworn oath to protect him, to spend your life before his own so he could be safe...
What?
Anyroad. We have one final interesting tidbit.
This...is interesting. Sovereignty has various meanings, but the one that stood out the most to me from Merriam-Webster was 'freedom from external control'. There was also 'supreme power over a body politic', 'controlling influence' and then 'one who is sovereign, especially: an autonomous state'
It's said in lore Nidhogg was dismissive of mankind. And at that point can you blame him? He's lost three siblings to Allag, his other brother's lost his damn mind mooning over some elezen before consensually participating in voreplay, and his sister drank ALL the mortal Kool-Aid.
Oh and baby brother? Is hiding somewhere.
That also possibly has Ascian fuckery hiding somewhere in the depths. What exactly, I don't know what to say or imply. But a good friend of mine pointed out that Nidhogg's attitude towards humans could have been a rather toxic ingredient that could have maybe been added to a growing resentment of dragonkind that had been festering. Maybe old grudges that had been settled by Shiva's sacrifice were coming back from the dead. Maybe mankind was growing too much in the region and was straining natural resources.
We don't know.
Last but not least, Estinien. Nevermind that this man decided to hit up a bottle of Raz-at-Han alchemist-made liquor.
Estinien. Pls.
However there is real world historical context for alcoholic spirits being used to help a body and mind relax so that one can see visions/perform magic. And as I stated one time, we don't know fully about all the changes Estinien has undergone ever since absorbing the remnants of Nidhogg's essence. This could be a random fluke--brought on by unpredictable draconic magic mixing with whatever unholy abomination against the gods concoction this particular Hannish alchemist thought to brew.
(listen Raz-at-Han alchemists fear neither gods, nor man, nor dragons, nor aliens. YOU KNOW I'M RIGHT)
But it's definitely interesting to see more of a solid connection between the first and the last Azure Dragoon. Especially since Haldrath hasn't shown up in anything dragoon connected since the level 50 questline, in which he helps you violently snap Estinien out of a Nidhogg-induced frenzy.
Hoping this story leads us to more dragoon stuff, especially considering the class is getting a revamp in 7.0!

okay. im writing this nine hours before it posts so wish me luck. also!!! final stretch babes were in the end zone now!!! just a few loose ends to deal with :)
Damian would like to think himself a fairly composed person, in general.
Which was why he would, under no circumstances, call what he was currently doing “hovering.” Waiting was fair. He could call it waiting without feeling like a damsel from the cover of a bad 1940 romance novel, sitting by the phone in hopes of a call.
Although he was. Sitting by the phone in hopes of a call, that is. Or a text. It had been two hours, why hadn’t Marinette texted him back yet?
Ironically, the moment he thought this, his phone pinged. He practically dove for it, nearly shattering the screen in his effort to see the message as quickly as possible. At Marinette’s hasty apology, he huffed out a relieved chuckle. She truly was something else.
When she asked him if he’d be interested in going on another date, he nearly launched his phone across the room, his face heating up. He typed, deleted, and retyped a dozen different ways to say yes. None of them seemed quite right. He groaned aloud, sent the most succinct yes he could manage, and collapsed on his bed.
Seeing Marinette’s comment that she would be off for a minute, he decided to take the time to process his feelings, like a Mature Human Being. By this, he absolutely Did Not Mean screaming into his pillow for a minute straight.
Damian’s head jerked up as he heard his phone go off. Was Marinette back from her prior obligation already? The caller id seemed to suggest as much as he picked up the call.
It was quickly evident, from the muffled voices and the fact that Marinette made no move to address him, that this had been a butt dial. Damian moved to hang up, but then he heard the voice of the annoying blonde from their class. The Agreste heir. Suddenly, he was much more interested in this conversation. Why was Marinette talking to Agreste in person this late at night?
But then. She addressed him as Chat. He made cat puns and called her Princess. That meant...
Oh god. Well, at least Paris had fewer annoying blondes than he’d originally thought.
The instant Damian heard the conversation edge towards a fight, he stuffed the phone in his pocket and took off at a sprint. Of course the bratty blonde would try something like this. Once the damn cat was gone, he would tell Marinette what he’d figured out. If she was who he thought she was, she’d know better than he what to do with the information.
A half hour later, fight scene done and Marinette smiling shakily at his side, Damian began to explain why, exactly, he’d shown up.
“Marinette. There’s no easy way to tell you this, but... IthinkChatNoirisAgresteandalsoIthinkIfiguredoutyouridentity,” he said in one breath. Marinette stilled next to him.
“I’m sorry, I think I misheard you. Could you repeat that, but slower?” she asked, her tone measured and even. Damian took a deep breath.
“I’m fairly certain Chat Noir is that Agreste boy. Before I knew it was Chat with you, on the phone, I assumed it was Agreste. They have the same voice, I ran it through some software I have while you were out of the room. Unless an Agreste look-alike is doing his Agreste impression while Chat Noir, I think we’ve found the identity of Paris’s leathered menace. I also have a suspicion as to who Ladybug could be,” he started, casting a meaningful glance towards Marinette. She stood up and took a step away from him.
“Don’t. I... Damian. I cannot confirm whatever you think you know, but Ladybug told me that if anyone figured out her idenity, she would need to give up her miraculous. Please. Don’t,” she pleaded gently, taking another step away from him. Damian nodded his assent.
“I understand. Would you or Ladybug like any assistance in dealing with that brat cat? I’ve been told I’m quite capable for my age, and if neither of you tries to take him down it’s likely I’ll go for him on my own.” Damian casually stood from his seat, an eyebrow raised in asking. Marinette seemed to consider it for a moment.
“Well. If you’re planning to go anyways, I suppose it’d be safer for you to be accompanied by a hero. Let me go get Ladybug,” Marinette offered, grinning mildly at him. He could hear her unspoken words clear as day: I am trusting you. Do not let me down. He nodded seriously as she ran upstairs. As Ladybug descended, he smiled back at her, the expression not nearly as foreign on his face as it had been a month ago.
Damian found it wasn’t quite in him to mind.
Running across rooftops with the Hero of Paris, Damain was fairly sure that, if you’d told his younger self what his last few weeks had been like, you’d’ve gotten a katana promptly pressed to whatever major artery he could reach. Now, as he scoured the skyline for any hint of the cat on their way to the Agreste Manor, he had simply accepted this.
Ladybug by his side, they quickly came up on Adrien’s window. When she cast him a questioning glance, he nodded. She scooped him up and swung down.

What comes easy won’t last long, and what lasts long won’t come easy
Here we are again. The flavor of the day is bland with a twist of desperation.
I am not perfect by any means. I make mistakes and like to think I’ve been capable of owning them. I’ve always thought of myself to be fairly level headed, someone who can look at the bigger picture from everyone’s position. I have been overly accommodating to the people who surround me, I try way harder for them then I do for myself. I am guilty of being ‘a people pleaser’. I don’t know when that started really, but in my 30′s it became severely obvious, and I kinda hate myself for that.
I am walking into my 8th year of my relationship with my boyfriend... B-O-Y-F-R-I-E-N-D. Not Fiance, not husband... shit, hardly a partner. He is a BOY, and I am stuck here. Not against my will obviously, I can kick him out whenever I please, however, my life with him is a complicated one that effects too many people (there I am, people pleasing again. Buckle up folks, this happens often).
I am 7 years older then my boyfriend, let’s call him Blu (that was my dog’s name). I met Blu by accident actually. In May of 2013 my then husband and I decided we just could not work it out anymore and we split ways. We were cordial, able to remain friendly for the sake of our kids. We accepted that although we failed MARRIAGE, we will not fail Co-Parenting. He left our family home in May and by September I met Blu. There’s some chaos there but I’ll tell that tale on another occasion. Remember when I said I met Blu by accident? I was serious. I had a friend named Emma who loved drama! She came to my house and told me about a site that she found out her boyfriend was on and she wanted to see if he would flirt with me (or another fake identity she made up to be honest, she just used my information to create an account), I call that playing with fire, but you know how that can go. Anyway, she did what she needed to and got the information that she wanted. I was uninterested in those apps so I never bothered to look into it. A couple of days later someone named Blu would send me multiple messages trying to get me to talk. I decided to respond, I explained that my name wasn’t what was listed and explained the whole situation to him, he just laughed it off. I didn’t know then that he was so familiar with drama like my darling friends little stunt. Anyway, we got to talking and it was very soon when he asked if I was interested in meeting up. After all the crime shows and books I’m into it was a hard HELL NO for me. I asked him to give me a little time, I also explained my position.
He told me a lot about himself, single dad, shares custody of two very young children with his ex. He lived with his parents about 2 miles from where I was. He didn’t seem cocky or arrogant, or maybe I just didn’t see it. We exited the chats and moved on to phone texts. He would message me every morning, afternoon and night. He knew about the age difference and didn’t care. Meanwhile I felt incredibly insecure about it. After about 7 weeks I finally caved and said I would meet him somewhere public, he said his family was having a BBQ at his house for me to just come by. I thought that out and figured: who would kill or rape me with all their family there?! So I went, but I never went inside his home. I stayed by my car, we talked for hours. I remember in the end I was fitting on the trunk of my car and him on the edge of the sidewalk... maybe 1:30 am when I finally decided to head home. He didn’t try any funny business, and was completely respectful. Before I left he asked if he can take me out to eat somewhere, like an official date, I still felt a little odd but I agreed. At that dinner I told him everything, about my pending divorce, how my custody is currently working, etc.
Me and him were from different worlds entirely. There were a few occasions that really pointed the differences out. For example, he listens to REAL MEXICAN MUSIC (google CALIBRE 50) where as my Mexican music consisted of Reggeton, Salsa, Bachata. He was 100% grounded in his Mexican roots, where my mixed breed havin’ ass was raised in an American household, where dinners were served at a certain time, we ate together as a family, we attended church on Sundays, we were close. The structure of my life was typical American Family with the added components of my nationalities; Mexican and Puerto Rican. We didn’t curse around our elders, I didn’t know of drugs, or habits. That was the first shot, the second time I noticed the difference was in October when we made arrangements to carve pumpkins with his kids and mine. On that particular day his mom and sisters were home, so of course I invited them to participate. They looked at the pumpkins as though they just landed from outter space! The third time was just a couple of months after, December. While my house was decked out with Christmas trees, stockings, and nicely wrapped presents... his house had no tree, no gifts, nothing.
We have gone through a lot over the years, mostly good things (or so I thought). Have you ever laid next to someone you felt the closest to and think Gosh, I don’t even know him? Eight years later and I still think that. I use to cry myself to sleep. I still feel so incredibly alone, and more so... misunderstood. The SANE me wants to think I have a right to think this way, but he comes in and convinces me that I am the problem. Meet Blu, head of the narcissists.
He is consumed with his cars, weed and sex. He has a problem with being faithful. And I have a problem with trusting him, and every time I feel I can let my guard down, he always comes in to remind me that I can’t. Things are about to get personal, I hope you don’t mind.
The first time I found out about his ‘extra activities’ we were already living together, this was maybe a little over a year after we became official with each other. He left his phone in the living room and it was getting a ton of texts, to my luck he is also a very heavy sleeper. I opened the messages and read them (OMG WHY WOULD YOU GO THROUGH HIS MESSAGES?! FK OFF KAREN, THIS IS MY REALITY, NOT YOURS!). It was a girl asking if he was gonna go by. I messaged her back as though I was him and she went along. I ended up waking him up, my eyes red and burning from all the crying. I asked him about it and all he was able to say is WHY ARE YOU GOING THROUGH MY PHONE, turned it off and went to bed. I remember feeling low, but that didn’t stop me dumb ass from going to lay next to him and crying until I fell asleep. He ended up changing his number after a few days and said he was ‘sorry’. Those types of situations happened maybe twice a year.
In 2016 I helped him open his own business, he had no money so I put up most of it (yes, stupid, I hear ya!) with the condition that he would not be listed on any documents as an owner. He argued with me about me not making him feel like a man (people pleasing in 3, 2, 1...) So I added him to the paperwork. I felt bad for him, I never wanted him to feel like that despite what he made me feel like. On one occasion he was working late, me being scar’d for life, I called him about 12:20 am and asked if I could take him anything or if he needs something because he had been working since 2 pm. He told me he was fine, but I said OK LET ME KNOW IF YOU NEED ANYTHING. I went anyway to ‘take him food’, when I was driving up a black Honda was driving off, and there was Blu looking like he saw a ghost. I asked who that was an immediately he yelled and asked why I was there. I said that I brought him something to eat to which he said MY FRIEND JUST BROUGHT ME SOMETHING... my friend... hmmm... At about 4 a.m. I messaged and asked if he was ok and he said IM NOT COMING HOME, IM DONE! My pride didn’t allow this to just happen, I responded with OK. I locked his ATM card, Gas Card, and any credit lines. He came home (I thought he would) hootin and hollerin! I quietly took my explosion waiting for him to finish. At that point I said to just leave the work truck keys and to be on his way. He refused.
In 2018 he started recording his phone calls for work purposes (you wouldn’t believe how many people try and cheat ya to save a buck!). I had access to the recordings but never listened to them because they were of a bunch of truckers asking for stuff. One day though, I was triggered. He said he was going to go down the street to help my sister and brother in law move something. I thought it was strange because my sister told me everything! So when he left I asked her about it, she said ‘yea it was weird he offered to come help’ I then asked her to call me once he left. About 10 minutes later I got the text “HEY SORRY HE LEFT LIKE 5 MINUTES AGO BACK HOME” We lived literally five minutes away, so I waited. After about 30 minutes I decided to listen to the recordings. He called a girl asking her to meet him in the Bank Of America Parking lot about 5 minutes the opposite way, he told her he was able to leave his kids with his dad for a little while so he can go see her. My heart SANK. I felt it at the pit of my stomach. This entire douche bag drove MY CAR to see some hoe??? FOR REAL! So I texted him and said where are you? He messaged about 10 minutes later and said IM ON MY WAY HOME I JUST FINISHED AT YOUR SISTERS. I didn’t respond. When he came it we went at it. Let me clear the air: I AM NOT AN ARGUER. I don’t find it useful to scream and yell, but my emotions were shot, I was on a different level now. I dropped the bomb! I guess he didn’t see it coming because he was unable to keep up with the shit storm I was dishing out. In the middle of it, that broad had the nerve to call him. I told him to answer it and he said no. When I got ahold of his phone he had the NUTS to tell me NOT TO FK IT UP FOR HIM. Shattered. I was non-existent.

BIOGRAPHY.
( trigger warnings: mentions of death, alcohol and drugs. )
ben was born and raised in la & happened to be the oldest of the three children his parents had.
his parents were pretty well known actors in their prime and because of it they weren’t at home a lot of the time.
but because of their passion for their work, benjamin was okay with them not being there that often and took care of his younger siblings whenever he needed to.
which wasn’t all that often because the rockford family had plenty of money for babysitters & nannies, meaning ben was able to slip off and get into a bunch of trouble.
which benjamin seemed to be extremely good at, getting sent home from elementary school all too often for causing some sort of chaos in the classrooms or halls.
but even though he was a troublemaker, he took after his parents and began acting at a very young age, getting his first gig at the age of 7.
which meant the spotlight that was on him just caused him to become extremely selfish and bratty.
his parents, of course, were upset with him and decided to enroll ben into a very, very prestigious school that had no tolerance for bad behavior, hoping that would calm ben’s reckless and troublemaker ways down some.
which it did, for a while. but not because of the school. ben started to act right just so that his parents weren’t disappointed or upset with him, not because the school ‘forced’ him to be that way.
because ben, ben was not the type to be forced into anything and people who came around him realized that fairly quick, knowing that he hated to be bossed around.
and people made sure they didn’t boss ben around because the few who had regretted that choice very quick. and it stayed that way all throughout the rest of elementary school and the first year of middle school.
but there was this new kid who came into town and decided that benjamin would be the perfect target for him to bully.
what this new kid didn’t know is that benjamin could and would end up knocking the bully on his ass in front of everyone, causing ben and the bully to both be expelled from the school.
this infuriated ben’s parents, causing his father to chew him out for days, causing ben to want to get out of the house & away from his parents.
so that’s what he did, he started sneaking out of his window at night, meeting up with a few of his friends from school.
they never really did much, walking around la, enjoying the weather.. sometimes they’d stop for ice-cream or something like that, but things changed once ben and his group of friends found some kids their age that went to a different school.
these kids were polar opposites of ben and his friends, constantly sneaking out, causing absolute chaos wherever they went and because of ben’s mischievous personality, he instantly became entranced with this group of people and found himself hanging out with them more often than not.
those kids ended up taking benjamin to a party that one of their older brothers was having and that’s where benjamin had his first taste of alcohol, something that would eventually become a huge part of his life.
the rest of his middle school years involved him trying to keep his grades up and put up a front that he was becoming the “good” kid they ‘raised’ him to be all while sneaking out at night to go to numerous parties and such.
but even though he loved going to those parties, he knew he needed to keep his grades up, knew that they were extremely important in the long run.
and he kept that mindset all throughout high school as well, busting his ass at school during the day and slipping out of the house to party at night.
however, he was a teenager, which meant he sure as hell lived like one. going to party after party, hooking up with whoever he felt like, trying any and every drug that was offered to him because the people who he hung out with made it seem so normal, like all of that was okay.
benjamin, though, got tired of the double lifestyle pretty quickly. trying to keep up with his acting career, high school and partying became too much and he knew he was worn far too thin for his age.
not to mention the fact that because of his fatigue from trying to do keep up with everything, his body started to crave certain drugs or alcohol, almost as if it needed those things to survive.. something that didn’t sit comfortably with ben. something he knew his parents would flip out about if they ever found out what he’d been into.
but things changed for the worse, in ways ben never imagined they could. he was at his best friends graduation party when he got a phone call from the los angeles hospital. his parents had been in a fatal wreck on their way home from a movie set and because he’d recently turned 18, his siblings were now his responsibility.
the news killed him, made him want to fall back into a reckless lifestyle, one that would probably end up killing him too. but he knew he couldn’t. his siblings didn’t deserve to loose someone and and he knew for a fact his parents would be so disappointed in him if he picked that lifestyle back up.
so, in the blink of an eye, he dropped all the ‘friends’ in his life that led him to believe that drinking and partying every single night was the normal and made sure he graduated high school with flying colors so that he could focus on his acting career.
one which was started to gain more and more momentum as he’d landed three huge movies in less than two months and his agent was trying to get him to star in a tv show as well.
which he did, causing him to have to go back to juggling his career, his family and his social life.. but it was all worth it to him. the fame that he’d gotten in such little time was something that intoxicated him in far worse ways than any drug he’d ever tried.
but deep down, he knew he wasn’t completely happy, he’d lost his parents.. nothing could ever replace them. not fame, not money, not sex… nothing.
and so he began writing down his feelings, letting everything he’d had on his chest flow onto sheets of paper and eventually turned them into songs.
he wasn’t a singer, that much everyone knew, but he could play guitar and piano and once his agent found that out, he found yet another way to wear benjamin thin. a record label, one that had the best singers who could take his music and make number one hits out it.
three movies, one tv show and constant trips to and from a recording studio meant that benjamin’s duty to his siblings began to dissipate day after day until he came back to his penthouse to see a note from his sister. they’d left, packed up and gone in the middle of the day because they were tired of living in ben’s shadow.
yet another blow to an already broken and worn down young man.
another blow that he couldn’t handle, another thing that let him back to alcohol and drugs. anything to numb himself from the world for a brief moment. anything to make him forget about everything.
but he couldn’t do that for long as he had press conferences, photoshoots and everything else that came along with fame to go to, but that didn’t matter to him.. and so he started going to said events drunk or high, making a fool of himself where so many people were able to see it.
and things stayed that way for a while, his agent getting onto him daily that he needed to straighten his act up or he wouldn’t have anyone wanting him for a damn thing.
ben knew that wasn’t true, though. he was one of the best up-and-coming actors and everyone in the damn business wanted a piece of benjamin rockford. information like that made his ego inflate ten times too big.
so he continued to be known as “the wild card” or “the party boy” to the media, eating up every single good and bad comment that was made about him because at the end of the day, he was still making money and being able to numb himself whenever he pleased and that’s all that mattered to him.
until he got cast in a 'chick flick’ of sorts, something he’d never done before. he was an action kinda guy, that’s what people hired him for, but not this time.. and it threw ben for a loop.
so much so he had to take a leave from the tv show he was on to be able to focus for this movie, to be able to give it everything he had, just like he did with every other role he was ever cast in.
and then he met his co-star. she was an up-and-coming actress, not unlike him.. but god, she was so humble.. so kind and so generous that it made ben fall head over heels for her faster than he could have ever imagined.
he wasn’t known for that, he was known for hooking up with a new person every night of the week, not falling for one single person and wanting to be with said person for the long run.
to ben’s surprise, though, she fell for him too.. and she changed him. she retaught him how to be the kind, caring, loving person he used to be before his parents died and he knew he’d do anything in the world for her. even if the press thought they were far too young to be talking about love like they were.
maybe they were right, maybe twenty one was too young to get engaged, and considering they’d only been dating for six months… but they didn’t care. young love would prevail, or so they thought.
the engagement only lasted three months, called off because she fell in love with one of their co-stars and there wasn’t a damn thing he could do about it.

that was until his agent told him that maybe a 'vacation’ of sorts would do benjamin some good, handing him the tickets to a town he’d visited a few times for press conferences and conventions where he was promoting the movies he stared in.
ben thought it was a joke at first, rolling his eyes and batting the tickets way from him as if they were laced with poison. but it wasn’t a joke and after a few weeks of thinking about it, benjamin decided that maybe, just maybe his agent was right. he needed a break, from everything. and a small town like that seemed like the perfect place to get said break.
so he packed up his things and he was off, hoping that maybe he’d find some balanced lifestyle in woodridge, hell, he didn’t know what he was looking for in all honesty. all he knew was that it was a fresh start. a way to make a name for himself that wasn’t “the party boy”.

Will my homeowners insurance drop me if my dog bit someone?
So last week the side gate to my house was left open and my dog got out. She bit one of my neighbors down the street, I'm guessing out of fear (she is a rescue dog). The bite wasn't too serious, but it did break the skin so my neighbor went to urgent care to get bandaged up. We apologized and offered to pay any medical costs upfront, but my neighbor preferred to let our insurance companies handle the claim. My dog hasn't bit anyone in the past, and isn't considered a dangerous breed (labrador, border collie mix). We've let her off leash at the dog beach and dog parks with plenty of other dogs and people running around, and she hasn't shown any type of aggression. What I'm worried about is my insurance company dropping us from their coverage, and us subsequently having trouble finding homeowners insurance in the future. We tried convincing our neighbor to let us settle without getting the insurance companies involved, and explained the situation, but with no luck. Does anyone have any answers or advice about the whole situation? Should I make a claim first and let our insurance company know, or should I just sit and wait for the whole situation to play out? Perscription copays are 25/30/50, and not all things are covered. Two years ago we paid 275/a month and had 20 copays for everything (except hospital stays were always 100 and perscriptions they were 5/10/20). They do not pay for any vision, dental, or contraceptive. Certain (most) perscriptions are not covered. Is this similar to what everyone is paying, or should we start looking outside of his work for insurance?""
