the fact that the robots in ultrakill were programmed to appreciate music in some form drives me crazy. what else would their creators have tried to let them appreciate.
#[iz.txt]#sorry im just#this drives me crazy!!#especially wrt how in w359 the thing that gets the aliens to want to know humans is music#super technologically advanced beings confused by music. a thing so human. you know#but also i like to imagine that some of their creators wanted to let them know(?) or give them more humanity#wanting to program them with an appreciation for aesthetics in architecture comes to mind#cause i dont think the people making them (hands on not leading the project) are particularly thrilled at making a warmachine#the thought is appreciation for architecture/structures being programmed into them -> less general overall destruction#if theyre appreciating how something looks theyre not going to just explode it#i know they dont have that.#but i like to think someone who built them wanted to give them programming that made stuff worth saving to them#this i a very v-model centered tangent but i just. sighs
