do secular people who didn't grow up with religion even know how many gay academics studying religion there are

#read something recently that just has me at. wall stare mode.#like maybe i'm just unusually aware of this but pretty much all the people i met when i was first entering the irl gay community were xian #and many of them were 1) former seminary students; 2) current priests; or 3) former priests #and once you start getting into the apocrypha you're getting the AUTISTIC queers who are EVEN COOLER #this fictional guy i read about needs to AT LEAST start networking (wink) at conferences he will be a lot happier
