Rainy Monday painting session. First time tying some pouring work and first work I've done since my exhibition opening (still up at @rawspacebristol. Contact @lordandlionart if interested) . People sometimes ask about my process in making RULES works. Honestly, process shifts wildly depending on what's going on in my life. This makes each piece unified but intensely personal. This is the freedom of working within the RULES framework. . This one is built out of glass slides glued to chipboard and then paint poured over the top. It will be wall mounted when it dries. . People also ask how long work takes to make . This is a complicated question for a piece like this in particular. I got the glass slides 2 years ago in the @hamiltonhouse_bristol c block closure. I glued them to the plank of wood three months ago. The idea to pour paint on them came to me in a dream 3 weeks ago. So you tell me, how do I calculate how long it took this piece to come together? Feels like 2 years to me. . Will post a final shot of the dry piece on the wall when it's ready .
