Pursuant to our company’s societal goals of philanthropy, charity and corporate social responsibility (CSR) in general, over the weekend, we participated in an activity in Kabati, Kitui Country organized by the Kenya Veterinary Association. This was part of the culmination of the World Rabies Day celebrations. We did mass rabies vaccination for dogs, donkeys and also did spay & neuter for dogs. During the event, we, as veterinary professionals, made a resounding proclamation to eliminate the RABIES disease from the population by the year 2030. Every 9-MINUTES, a person dies of rabies. I still reiterate the urgent need for human and animal medicine to be pursed in a one United undertaking, a One Health approach because they are inseparably intertwined.
