SHE WASN'T GOING to pretend to understand: time travel and all of that was beyond outside of her comfort zone. She imagined this Jubilee ( just Jubilee ) was something like Cable-- LOST, angry, and dangerous. How did one connect to a person like that? She chose the rarer option: honesty.

He really almost doesn’t recognize her.  They were both older, much older than they’d been the last time they saw one another.  He only realizes who she is by the smell, no matter how faint it might be on her.  He’s silent for a moment, as he stares at her with those weathered eyes.  “Need a beer?”  He was never much for sappiness or sentimentality, and he figured they both didn’t want to talk about the past.

      This was probably a really bad idea. The entire building she’d come upon was breaking down, slightly lopsided on one side, but it was raining and Keegan was desperate. Plus she didn’t have any cash so she could hang around a diner like she usually did until the rain let up. But when she cracks open the wood from a window the stench of mildew and... and what was that? Not quite living, but not quite dead... 

       Rubbing under her nose she crinkles it. Ah shit something wasn’t right here but she couldn’t place it. Tapping against the window sill she hoists herself in fully and settles into a space away from the window. She’d figure it out after she got herself dry enough or when the... the problem? the problem decided to make itself known.

RIGHT? tbh I basically say it just in case my brain quits and someone gets an extraordinarily short one, that way I can be like “welp I said they were short”
