Well, today is one of those days where I work at the computer all day... I'm happy to do it because today I'm taking steps towards producing two new albums by Indiana classical musicians. Yesterday though, I was so lucky to accidentally capture this dreamy clarinet improvisation with delay pedal.

Improv is always so funny to me, because I tell people that they need to improvise often because improvisation sometimes tells you what your feelings are through the music that you are creating. Who knew this was in me?

Join my patreon page to listen! Here's the story: I began composing this track before the corona virus outbreak had reached the United States. Now, everything seems so different with businesses closing, schools closing, and people isolating themselves from each other (all of which is necessary at this point). The spirit of this track, though, has remained the same and it's intention is still very applicable regardless of if a pandemic was happening or not.  Buried in the Sands is meant to be a canvas for your imagination. It's supposed to set a scene for you, so you can close your eyes and imagine your own story coming to life in your mind as the sonic textures pass through your ears. It's meant to be a creative escape for you, telling part of the story and allowing you to finish the story in your mind. This exercise in creativity is so necessary now that we are all home locking ourselves away from each other. Inventing a story is a great way to escape reality for a brief time. For me, I find adventure in my story (although, mine gets so long I have to listen to this on repeat). I find a place I've never been with challenges I've never faced, with the reward of obtaining secret knowledge when it's all said and done.
