She doesnt rlly have much of a ,,,, background??? more of an implied one, living in the deep living a very rough life fighting and tearing for whatever she can find. a merm like sorb, but far more mosterous

untilllll she finds sorb drifting down bleeding and instead of going Wrow free snack! she adoption sleedruns them and patches them up [injury from a fishhook]

terrifying sea mom and her tipsney splinky spoinky. Untilllllll sorbet finds the witch [sea angel cookie, @/vanillaverses oc] that gives them their legs and they're kinda stupid so they just run off to join a pirate crew, pingponging between a handful of ships until they end up at twines [@/wawabutt's oc] and get adoption speedrunned by her too.

meanwhile abyssal star is freaking the FUCK out and eventually finds sea angel and [metaphorically though she could do it literally] tears her apart and eventually concedes that as much as she hates this bitch she has to stoop down to her level to go find sorb since going near a ship would probably get her killed [nows the time to mention, she is Terrifying. in her cookie form shes like 6'8 + heels and platforms, presumably longer with her merm tail, fairly ripped, and has Tons of sharp bells and whistles to impale and shred things with] so she does business with sea angel [there arent actually any drawbacks attached to her human form besides needing to adjust to it since she was about 5 seconds away from popping sea Angel's head clean off and sea angel didnt rlly wanna test it] and leaves to find sorb.

eventually figures out what ship they went to, waits for a moonless night to go sneak in and rip anything between her and sorb apart [being a creature of the deep has perks — killer night vision]

clambers on deck and while trying to get a feel for the layout she realizes, *shit* the one of the cabins still has a lamp burning and as much as she tries she cant avoid heavy creaky footsteps,,,,, so Sh3s like shitt do I really wanna subject sorb to me killing 20 people,,,, no but before she can decide on what to twine walks out of her cabin [she was working late on planning a heist] like Uhmmmmm hi??? what can I do for you???. Also twine is having Lesbian Scary Woman Response so like HEHFJEJDKEKKS

abyssal star explains she cant find her kid and she thinks they're here and twines like oohhh so that's why the kid I spontaneously adopted cant talk and in the end its resolved with no killing and mauling,,,,, and with someone so used to people being terrified of her or just fighting and not thinking the soft and king conversation with a pirate captain of all people kinda catches her in a really weird way. their relationship is rlly slow burn but like They're In Lesbians and are gay and happy and. gay married.

abyssal star originally chose to hang around the ship rather than grab sorb and lead because they genuinely seemed happy here, she was useful as a personal bodyguard for twine and as a powerhouse, and twine made her 'curious' [read; at least mildly gay at first]
