My TOP 23 screenshots for 2023

Thanks for tagging me, lovely Alex @ice-creamforbreakfast.

Considering I didn't reappear on the Simblr scene until late March, many of these will be recent shots, but here are some of my personal faves in chronological order!

1. James (with previous hairstyle, and with blanket) and Leona on the rooftop of The Factory. Despite it not being the best pic I ever shot, this post was my "comeback", so it's meaningful to me.

2. The moment Dan and Sadie broke up... Knowing what we know now, this was truly for the best, but I actually cried a little writing this post...

3. Jasper and Eva's Monte Vista wedding dinner.

4. When I built an entire coffeehouse just to shoot that one scene reuniting Esme and Martha.

5. Finn and Sadie giving in to hormones.

6. Luke and Susie's autumn wedding . I particularly liked this picture because of Boy in the background. 🥂

7. Eva expecting. But I mostly loved this picture because this house is my favourite house I ever decorated.

8. Rachel's face when she found out about Finn and Sadie's Friends with Benefits situation.

9. This moment when Joshua had an epiphany... (My heart...)

10. The start of Honeycomb Valley 2.0.

11. Sending Martha home. This one was emotional for me. She had been away for SO long and bringing her home was a big deal for the story but also for me.

12. This reaction of Sadie's when Martha said she and Finn should definitely "study... hard..." 😏

13. Finn confessing his feelings for Sadie to Rachel (which does hurt a bit in light of current events...)

14. This hugely important moment when Joshua was about to come out to his friends. ❤️

15. The date that didn't go to plan...

16. The moment that screwed up my entire flippin' storyline! 😳 The chemistry between these two the moment they got together for this scene totally messed everything up. Thankfully, the story became better because of it. More dramatic, but also better.

17. Phoenix. ❤️‍🔥

18. The dream. I had so much fun setting up this room for this scene. A little secret only one person knows: I actually shot the entire, very NSFW dream scene... In the end, I decided not to share it because at this point, I wanted to keep the tension alive for a while longer. But it was... something... 🫣

19. My dear struggling James who "came close but wrote song lyrics instead..."

Normscary: Ship It (💙💜) / Don't Ship It

What made you ship it?

Um. Blinks at you. Points at you. Ssdbghsbfkbsbhbs at first I didn't ship it at all bc I was so very into Oakworthy and whatever Scary/Erica/Margarita have going on in my brain, respectively, but your insistence paid off and also multishipping is beautiful forever <333 And then this all happened to coincide with certain events in canon and I was like. Okay yeah. Yeah I get it now.

What are your favorite things about the ship?

Speaking of canon events! I really, really, really like how these two have grown to foil and parallel each other in SO many interesting ways. Which personally adds more fuel to the shipping fire for me! Very two-sides-of-the-same-coin meets opposites-attract imo. Like I said with Cheerkicks, they both have a lot more in common than I think they're really aware of, if that makes sense!

Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship?

I don't think so! I just think they should kiss. I also really enjoy them as being part of a polywagon situation or as Marloakworthy <333

Figayda: Ship It (❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥) / Don't Ship It

What made you ship it?

This feels like too easy of an answer, but Sophomore Year! I remember scrolling through Fantasy High fics on ao3 after finishing Freshman Year and being like ??? Oh there's someone related to Aguefort??? And they're popularly shipped with Fig, of all people??? Huh. Guess it must be a SY thing. Smash cut to me giggling and kicking my feet upon getting introduced to Ayda and being absolutely overjoyed bc the only thing I could think about was "oh this ship is going to be so cute isn't it I'm going to be feeling like this abt them constantly???" And I was right!!!

What are your favorite things about the ship?

Truly just the. Unlikeliness of it all. Cloistered wizard pirate harpy lady falling hard for the rock n roll wild child tiefling bard with a heart of gold,,, and then said bard being such a bisexual mess about her own feelings in response. The panicked "I kiss her and then I skateboard away!!!" lives Rent Fucking Free in my brain at all times. Also Emily and Brennan portray their relationship so beautifully??? Like truly they had me tearing up at multiple points. I think Fig and Ayda both work very hard to understand each other and communicate properly and that earnest aspect of it combined with all the giddy fluffy high school romance stuff is like kryptonite to me. Congrats you two that's almost the best anyone has ever done it!!!

Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship?

Honestly??? I don't think I've poked around in the d20/Fantasy High fandoms enough to know what is and isn't a popular opinion about them. So I'm gonna echo what I said for Normscary: I just want them to kiss!!! And cuddle. And be cute. Forever <333

@walterstudiosphx and the crew have been the most warm hearted, intelligent, inspiring and downright coolest. I’m so grateful to be able to rub elbows with some of Phoenix’s finest! Big thank you to the Homies that are letting me get some deck time on Thursdays! I truly learned so much just buy standing next to these G’s on the decks Big shout out to Elvis & JwOW ! Coming in with the heat on the SD cards! I’m really excited because I get to play some of my newest material to the finest peeps! I didn’t even know about Walter’s until this summer. It was really interesting to me. How it’s unraveled into such exploratory situation. They have Walter warehouse they have a brewery. They have all this stuff going on but most important they have a community of loving people that are raising the bar!
