it’s always kind of sweet to me when i read a fic with a character who at their worst is maybe Slightly Rude and then get to an author note like ‘yeah I know my character is unlikable and you might hate them at first but i hope they grow on you anyway!’

meanwhile i’m over here brainstorming new awful ways for Ros to unrepentantly fuck things up and get people killed like ‘this is my beautiful angel who has never done anything wrong in her entire life <3′

#lol my standard might be off #but if a character doesnt do at least ONE murder can you really call them a problematic fav?#this isnt me making fun of anyone or even thinking about a particular fic #ive just seen notes like that crop up for characters that are totally fine and i find it funny #but again im a terrible judge #the other day somebody called Evelyn Hugo an unlikable character #and i was genuinely so surprised because i fucking LOVE her #and i had to stop for a second and be like oh yeah i guess she does do some bad things huh
