a really fun experience i just had is when you rewatch for the first time a movie that was part of your gay awakening and realize your brain only recorded the parts that made you be gay at your television screen even though the rest of the movie is kinda batshit. literally nothing else saved for posterity and yet it would be years before i did the math. gay denial makes you so stupid but at least looking back at it is really funny

Paul Verhoeven btw. knew the gist of the main character but did not remember That Scene somehow #and i certainly did not remember the gorilla becoming visible from the inside out or the lab elevator exploding #didn't remember people dying at all which is hilarious #and while i only remembered Woman Images from the movie. having rewatched it now i wanna know if elizabeth shue and josh brolin needa third
