Messy Eaters is a story @lammergeared and I are writing that follows three children and how they are shaped by things outside of their control.

The society the children belong to worship a sky dwelling dragon, and fear a snake beneath the world that is destined to devour everything. The youngest, Zevrayak, is a little girl born born to a priests' family with a blessing from the dragon, though she resonates very little with her own spiritual power. Uluun is a little boy abandoned in the woods, his father was a warrior who abandoned his post and his premature birth was blamed on his (deceased) father. Uluun is born with a red (blessed) and blue (cursed) eye, him having the potential for great good or evil. The oldest child's birth was an ill omen - her mother dying in child birth, and her father in a freak accident soon after. Eghter, the girl, has an unnatural hunger she seeks to fill.

It's a two part narrative, focusing on the three as children and then as adults.
