Roll The Dice Play Sheet

Hi! I like to stretch my writing muscles, and I’m always up for a game of chance, so I created a fanfiction writing game for my blog. This game is set up for Sanders Sides fanfiction as that is what I like to write at the moment and focuses heavily on doing different ships. Here is the process. Feel free to use it to or edit it to fit your writing interests! There are also follower interactions during one of the stages if you’d like to engage with my blog. This is the second version of this Play Sheet that I’ll use starting with the 10th dice roll on my blog.

Rules

1. The story must be at least 1,000 words long.

2. The main pairing (or character) must be the main focus of the story.

3. If you choose to do a background relationship roll, you aren’t required to have them involved or even mention it. It’s more for worldbuilding.

4. The prompt word must appear in at least the title, summary, or body of the story.

5. The first character in list S is the perspective character for at least the first 1,000 words of the story.

6. The order of the lists can decide the order of appearance and/or importance if you want a challenge.

7. If the Double AU genre is rolled, you reroll for a second universe, and then roll again for a genre. (Delete the Double AU genre from the next roll if you get to the point where you have 3 AUs for the story).

Roll the Dice

1. Roll 1-5. That is number of people in the ship. (s=roll). (If it is 1, that is a gen fic. In this case, do the entire dice roll (starting with step 1 again) but all relationships are gen relationships. If 1 is hit again, it is just about the character rolled in step 2.)

2. Create a blank list with s spaces, list S.

3. Roll 1-6 until you fill up the list. (If i is in an earlier position on the list, reject i. If 3 is in an earlier position on the list, reject 6. If 6 is in an earlier position on the list, reject 3.) This list has all of the characters in the main ship.

4. Roll 1-u for universe.

5. Roll 1-g for genre

6. Use random word generator for a prompt. I use (https://randomwordgenerator.com/).

7. Roll for background pairings. (optional). Roll 1-(6-s). Let t=roll. Create a blank list with t spaces list T. Repeat step 3 rejecting any character in list S.

8. You can repeat step 7 with roll of 1-(6-s-t) until you are out of characters or as desired.

Bonus Features

1. People are able to suggest AUs and genres through asks. Obviously, these cannot be too specific (like AUs that already have pairings) or they will be rejected.

2. There are three rounds on my blog.

a. Round one is the initiation round. In this round, I will go through the Roll the Dice process and publish the results.

b. Round two is the writing round. This is when I write the story. Others are welcome to join in and write their own version if they are interested in the prompt/want a challenge. If you do, please tag me! This round will last at least 5 days and could go longer if something comes up in my life.

c. The last round is the set-up round. In this round, people can send asks to my blog with an AU or genre already on the list. Every ask that AU or genre gets requesting it gives it a +1 chance. (Basically, I just add a copy to the bottom of the list temporarily and roll on the new list.) This will last at least 2 days and will continue until I move on to the initiation round.

3. Anyone is allowed to jump in on prompts I am working on or have already done. You are also free to use the list yourself and can edit it by adding/deleting characters, relationships, universes, and genres to your hearts content. Even though my list focuses on shipping, you can choose to make all relationships gen relationships. You can do anything you want with the templet honestly. Rip it to pieces, I really don’t care, but I would love to see whatever you come up with! Feel free to tag me! You can even change fandoms if you’d like.

also life update i guess (i ended up rambling about irrelevant shit)

ive been less active in the past month or two (i finally kicked the habit of completely catching up on my dash.... took like over 6 years....) bc ive been so busy..... i dropped out of ucsd last last year! best decision i ever fucking made! university and academia had been so depression. in the meantime since my dropout ive been making my portfolio.... bc ive decided to go to art school. im hoping that i can actually be happy doing art for a living bc i sure was happy doing chem unfortunately... being smart has been my undoing bc im the least studious bitch alive. gonna do my in art school tho... i want to... i just submitted my application for one of them yesterday and im so exhausted.... i have no fucking social energy rn so ive been inactive in the newest fandom discord im in.... ill always have energy to spare for my close buddy tho......... sometimes i think this is the closest thing to pining ill get. i just love that one specific friend....... and probably maybe have enough energy for a few more close friendos as well but rn i just need to decompress........ ive been utterly insatiably eating prompto centric fanfiction bc lord does the ffxv fandom have an absolute abundance of fanfics..... particularly im spoiling off all the whump Ugh so much good shit im almost getting sick of it. almost. depends on the quality of it. anyways im rambling but im gonna continue rambling. man i have not seen the entirety of the game and likely never will bc i dont have time but i have consumed enough content for prompto bc hes fucking bestest boy. ugh i love fanfiction. shit made me so Invested in him..... speaking of fanfiction i have not once forgotten about my own aa fic.......... i want to continue it.... but ive been completely derailed and lost steam...... god i wanna write it tho.... i havent lost the intent just the drive.... mostly bc im distract by reading fanfiction and webnovels and bc of apps..... man im bad at saying personal shit regularly on tumblr ive said much of this stuff on twitter already bc its oddly easier just say bullshit in bursts on twitter. although about 90% of the tweet i make are about fanfiction. i dunno if anyone would actually want to follow my twitter i extremely doubt it. its all obscure fandom too. its nice tho.

what was the point of this post? huh. i got extremely derailed. i think i was intending to talk about just applying to art school but i ended up just talking about everything that came to mind in a shitty stream of consciousness. woops.

aaaaaaaaaaahhh fuck i really do hope i get into at least one of them.... im definitely not getting into calarts. that one is just a too high bar but i still applied tho. had to try..... yall wish me luck if you read all this......... im so bleh rn. also i got sick last week but im at the tailend of my cold now so that shouldnt really be pressing.... HHHHHHHHHHHHH I HOPE I GET IN.... HECK!

Like WTF!!?? *fake high-pitched* Jensen is so ready to stop hiding behind closet, he hand over a job to Gino in his brewery business to shut them up bla bla bla. Rrrrrright, they squee over Jensen's unique behavior towards Jared and still fail to acknowledge Jared's bro-act.

When was Jensen ready to run out fo the closet, before or after the birth of his tiwns? Gino reminds me of the (domestic) turkeys on my aunt’s farm that accidientally drown themselves while drinking out of a trough. That’s like hearing about men accidentally downing themselves at the bar because they forgot to stop drinking their beer. For some reason I see Jensen getting hit with a lawsuit because of Gino.

I think most of us foresaw how the AAs/Tinhats were going to use Jared’s mental illness against him, except they would do it under the guise of being “concerned” for him. Yeah, right. Before and after outing himself for depression, the Tinhats’ behavior are the same; pissed at Jared that he’s not behaving according to their bodice-ripping fanfictions and Jensen on the white stallion rescuing his darling woobie Jared.
