Binge reading Oshi no Ko until latest chapter (as now ch 115) and my conclusion kinda funny with title isn't that match with the context (I guess read too many isekai manga with long title affect me lol)
Before anyone confuse, let me tell everyone that I only watch 2 episode firsthandly then read all chapter so I was thought Oshi no Ko is about life as idol's children while thinking their child become idol too (tbh opening song too really misleading lol). But overall it's enjoyable, it exposed many bad side of entertaiment in specific idol and acting world. Eventhough some case pretty unrealistic and scifi, not too mention their star like Sasuke mangekyo sharingan eyes things which makes me wonder is the title supposed to be pun of Hoshi no Ko ?
While looking to anime again, despite not her intent role, I still think Ai Hoshino VA Rie Takanashi really doing a great job on delivering Ai personality just like Hutao Genshin since their energy feels same one of reason I try watching this anime of course and of course Kent Ito as Aqua should do a good job with entertaiment genre anime.
But if I gonna give honest answer, I think this anime will suffer "really popular for season one only" syndrome since well... I read manga too, only some plot have a unexpected twist except you really interest in dark joke or deepening your knowledge how harsh entertaiment world are (lol)
Well as for me, since it's shonen jump weekly, it include in my weekly reading schedule from now on (lol) since depend on their editor I think that manga gonna end soon (maybe around next 2 year)

One thing I'm really appreciating about Delicious in Dungeon specifically as a cooking anime is that unlike basically every other cooking anime I've watched, it's willing to let the dishes not be masterpieces every time. It feels like every time an anime focuses on cooking, every single dish is presented as this mouthwatering, perfect delicacy that makes you cream your pants just tasting it (sometimes even literally, lol). And it gets boring after a while, cause like, there's only so many times you can watch the same characters gush over food in the same way before it loses all meaning. But in Delicious in Dungeon, it's a genuine question how the stuff they're cooking is going to turn out. And it makes sense! They're scavengers exploring a new frontier of cuisine in an unexplored environment, experimenting and trying out stuff that's never been tried before! It wouldn't make sense for them to pull out Michelin-worthy dishes every time! Sometimes it's just okay, sometimes it's good but not world-changing, sometimes it outright doesn't work, and sometimes the gang disagrees whether or not it's good so you have to form your own conclusions a little. And it makes it so much more exciting to watch them cook because you're never quite sure if they've struck gold or not. More cooking shows should take notes!

So I come back from vacation just in time to find this snippet from an interview with Kumiko and Reina's VAs talking about the upcoming Eupho Season 3, which some Discord friends have helpfully translated for me:
"--What do you think of Kumiko and Reina's relationship at the start of the 3rd season?
Kurosawa: Married couple.
Anzai: A pair that everyone agrees is married.
Kurosawa: Newlywed type."

Genuinely fascinated by what decision-making process could have possibly led the author of Frieren to the conclusion "You know what this soft, meditative fantasy parable about grieving and the passage of time needs? A Hunter Exam-style tournament arc!"

Okay, but thinking about it, it has to be significant that this is the first time Kumiko and Reina have taken center stage in a Hibike OP.
Like, previous OPs have been very much ensemble pieces, no clear character focus besides Kumiko herself (and a bit of her relationship with Asuka in the season 2 OP). And the most we've gotten from the EDs is the red string of fate connecting Kumiko and Reina in the S1 ED, but even then that was just one element among many. But here? Kumiko and Reina's relationship is central to the OP's storytelling. Their emotional turmoil followed by reconciliation completely fills up the pre-chorus, and Reina sleeping on Kumiko's lap is the emotional peak that punctuates the second half of the chorus. Their warmth, their comfort, their peace in each other's arms, isn't just one part of this OP, it is this OP. It's arguably the most clearly articulated emotional core in any Hibike OP or ED thus far.
We're in the final stretch for this story. Season 3 is the end of Hibike Euphonium; this will be the final conclusion for all its characters and themes. And it's now, of all times, that KyoAni chooses to center Kumirei in its visual storytelling like it never has before.
...I think I need to fetch my clown makeup again.

Most of the time when I write for Anime Feminist, it's to discuss a series I love.
Today, we're doing something a little different and ripping into one of the worst piles of shit I've ever had the displeasure of sitting through.
