my main problem with the naming system in Warrior Cats is that some words are both suffixes and prefixes.

Stormstorm. Featherfeather. FREAKING MOONMOON are legit names. Firefire. Songsong. Fernfern. Clawclaw. Cloudcloud. Spotspot. Leafleaf.

Ok so I have an idea to give Werewolf two names. One of them is from her werewolf culture and the other is a humanised name cuz racism towards werewolves.

I also want werewolf culture names to pay homage to those wolf names from the early 2010s and also warrior cats names. So traditional werewolf names are stuff like Bloodmoon and Winterpaw. Two cylables and all.

Also while I want to make Werewolf's cultural name something like Nightfang or Duskrunner, I'm honestly super tempted to make it Moonmoon cuz of this

I just think it would be funny

cuz Werewolf is gonna be this very tough and imposing character and like, yeah her name is Moonmoon XD

Ok I know the name rating thing is probably over but I got some fun ones from those "use the first and last letters of your name" name generators and I wanna share em. They even came with mild descriptions!

Glidefur - a brown and white molly with hazel eyes, Windclan

Cove-eyes (really like this name honestly) - shadowclan elder, a brown colorpoint cat who used to be the fastest hunter in the clan

Doveblaze - an immature and silly Shadowclan Molly, ex-kittypet, flamepoint ragdoll

Winterfrost (the prettier Moonmoon) - a pure white tolly with amber eyes

!!!

These are some pretty fun names!

Personally, I don't like to use of Winter- for a regular Clan cat, since it's not a word the cats use, but for a Daylight Warrior Winterfrost is a really cute name!

I also gotta say Doveblaze is my favorite

cause the image of an energetic and goofy ShadowClan cat makes me smile

Terrible Idea: ClanClan

A Warriors Clan made entirely of Moonmoon style names made from canonically used prefixes and suffixes

So their Leader is Starstar, and I’m picturing she looks like Star Flower

Then the Deputy, Thornthorn, a bit of a prickly fellow

And of course, our Medicine Cat, Cloudcloud, with his Apprentice, Leafleaf

Our brave Warriors, like Frostfrost, Clawclaw, Birdbird, Featherfeather, Berryberry, Flowerflower, Runningrunner, Windwind, Gorsegorse, Stemstem, Shiningshine, Creekcreek, and Specklespeckle

This is terrible and I’m going to draw them.

GLADLY

MemeClan is a lone clan of cats founded at the base of a faraway mountain. The clan was created by a former kittypet, Blazestar, who found merit in the Warrior Code but didn't quite fit in with any of the clans that he'd come across. The cats of MemeClan are fun-loving, adventurous, and extremely adaptable, and while they prefer to joke than to battle, these cats will defend their territory- and their pride- fiercely.

The leader of MemeClan is Rockstar, a very loud and rowdy cat that loves his clan. His mate is the warrior Hollywood, who is a vain but popular calico she-cat with mismatched eyes.

The deputy is Mountaindew, an energetic and loyal grey she-cat with bright green eyes; she seems to never sleep.

Smokeweed is the medicine cat, he’s a pale cream tom with red points and big eyes. He's a natural with healing herbs, and always has a stash for any of the clans' needs.

Some of the clan’s warriors are Flashlight, Garfield, and Redbull.

Starchmask and Nipslip are queens; Starchmask is a light cream cat with dark brown mask and points, and Nipslip is a promiscuous, fluffy white cat with thinning fur along her belly. Starchmask is gregnant pregnant, and Nipslip is the mother of kits from many different fathers. Healthkit is suspiciously similar in appearance to Smokeweed, Basskit is a pale tabby, and Webkit is a white cat with pale markings along his face and limbs.

Among the elders is Moonmoon, a wise but... somewhat confused white tom with blank, blind eyes.

MemeClan is still a WIP so feel free to suggest more names!!

Since i wholeheartedly trust you in questions like this: what should be the last name of my night elf druid, Liliandelle? I still haven't figured it out...

Ohhh no I’m so terrible with names. I use the nelf name generator often tho it’s really useful. Not even just the ones generated, it just gives some good examples and you can go from there.

For night elves..have you ever read the warrior cats series? Their last names tend to sound like the names of those cats lmao. Like in game examples: Shadowsong, Whisperwind. Stormrage, Ravencrest, Felsong (lmao ominous)

A lot of nature related stuff since night elves are so in tune with nature.

You’ll see a lot of Night, Shadow, Moon, Star. in names since they’re..well, night elves x) (conversely you’ll see blood elves tend to have sun and similiar stuff in their names (ex: sunstrider) but you can do whatever you want tbh)

Here are some examples of words that can be used and can be mashed together to make last names

Forest, Storm, Winter, Dawn, Raven, Bear, Wolf, Stag, Runner, Blade, Song, Flower, Strike, Wind, Silent, Wood, Mist, Snow, Cloud, Arrow, Dew, Wild, Stalker, Mane, Striker, Grove, Leaf, Breeze, Spirit, Tree, Branch, Bloom, Caller, Walker, Feather, Dancer, Singer, Gazer, Shield, Watcher, Whisper, Green, Thunder, Crest, Bow, Silver, Scribe, Spyre, Breath, Shade, Autumn, Thorn, Wing, Blue, Helm, Breeze.

Hm…personally I love these Dawnlight, Nightweaver, Swiftblade, Stormsong, Nightrunner, Forestflower, Shadowstrike, Ravensong…

(Moonmoon comes up in suggestions sometimes and it kills me because…it’s a terrible but technically viable night elf name)
