#such a happy boy#in animation at least#from what ive seen of the comics (which isnt much since i dont speak a word of portuguese) hes kinda an arsehole but i still love him#i could write an essay on how modern interpretations of the cabs dont get their dynamic and just them as characters#but im sure other people have already said far better than i ever could#thats not to say i hate newer versions of the cabs (except that one 3d animated toddler show ((house of mouse is on thin ice as well)))#but they just dont feel quite right for lack of a better term like a i get modernising them for a new audience but...#i think it has something to do with the weird middle ground theyre in wherr it feels like creators care about a lot#but somehow dont at the same time ie how inconsistent their voices are in comparison to other classic charaters#anyway tangent aside#jose carioca is best boy and i love him#betty's three cabs rambles
