wait. people are complaining because its $6 a month? nah.

EDIT: to clarify, this is merely about the price (which i understand is small to me, but due to exchange rates etc. can be more for others) not the principal of charging for a service that was already free.

#watcher #its extremely upsetting that they're planning on taking down all of their content from the past five (right?) years #but $6 is cheaper than dropout. and i love dropout.#also like #its fairly easy to set up a proxy server and get all your media from big corps directly in there and onto plex or sth #like. google it.#paying for all those services isnt doing you any good just learn to pirate better #that way you can spend your money meaningfully #on something homegrown like watcher or dropout #still shitty that theyre taking down the content though #thats a dickass move if ive ever seen one #however on pricipal alone being forced (presumably) to pay for something that was once free for all is fucked.#the reason i bring up dropout is because all the content they are currently still releasing on the paid site is all (i think????)-#original series from dropout #like you have to pay for dropout to watch the series #but the series didn't start on youtube and move to dropout im pretty sure
