I feel like “TikTok” has become the new, modern web equivalent of “the popular girls”. I see so many posts complaining about how shallow or vapid or trend-chasing “people on TikTok” are and it feels like “I’m not like the other girls” with a fresh coat of paint. We may change our image but have we truly left the middle school lunchroom in our minds
