man unraveling the mystery of "the work," and anastasia's vow with alecto, and samael, etc once alecto comes out is going to be such a rosetta stone. because what do you *mean* the mysterious favor harrow still owes ianthe is, specifically, "the favour of the chain"

#bitch when i read that my stomach dropped! what HAPPENED! i wanna know anastasias story so baaaaadddd ugh #that said... her agreement with ianthe a) ends upon the death of harrowhark the first b) extends into the house but NOT the tomb #c) takes precedence over any debt sworn to anyone LESSER than alecto ie any vow sworn TO alecto will override it #all three of which seem like very plausible escape routes that could come into play #so at least there's that #htn spoilers #harrow the ninth spoilers
