Obviously the majority of trans men sound totally normal in how they discuss cis women perpetuating transphobia and being transphobic to them and how that affects how they relate to cis women and all of that is really important for us to be discussing as a community etc

But then there’s like. A minority that will straight up say things like “I don’t give a shit about cis women dying from lack of access to safe abortion since we trans men have it worse anyway” and it’s like hey uh what the fuck. What the fuck

#there’s a v specific subsection of terminally online ppl who will use ‘cis women’ the way people used to use ‘white women’ in that.#they just needed an excuse to complain about women in general so they tacked on a source of privilege at the beginning #again it’s not the majority doing that. but they’re out there #also as someone who is not cis and still needs reproductive healthcare. yeah I know how much it fucking sucks to get left out of those #discussions #and if you’ve visibly transitioned how much harder it can make to access care #and it’s shitty! it’s fucking shitty!#saying you don’t care that women are going to die though like. Jesus fucking christ #this sucks but. I think one of the reasons I regularly feel more solidarity with transfems than transmascs even though I myself am #technically transmasc is bc trans women are way better at calling out misogyny. esp if it coming from within the community #and having any kind of discussion about misogyny in transmasc spaces (at least online) is like. impossible at this point #and god forbid you’re trying to address how trans men’s misogyny affects trans women #and the trivialization of tme privilege in trans masc spaces
