Microsoft Flight Simulator update 1.32.8.0 is now available to download on PC, Windows 10, and Xbox. According to the official MSFS patch notes, the latest Aircraft & Avionics update 02 introduces new telemetry to investigate reported issues related to low bandwidth and connection loss. Previously. a major update added many enhancements to the region, including new aerials and elevation maps. Apart from this, MSFS patch 6 also includes new photogrammetry cities, 4 hand-crafted airports, nearly 100 POIs and new discovery flights, landing challenges, and bush trips. Today's MSFS patch 1.32.8.0 will fix a few of these issues. Check out more details below. KAP140: Corrected an issue in the default KAP140 template that caused the animation of the 100s' knob to be applied to both the 100s' knob and the 1000s'. Aircraft (Cessna Citation CJ4 / WT21): Fixed issues with the wind indicator spinning in the wrong direction on the PFD. Aircraft (Cessna Citation Longitude): The PFD roll indicator is now rendered using the correct "sky pointer" configuration. Fixed thrust reverser animations to show the buckets only when reverse thrust is engaged. Prevented engine and APU graphics on the Fuel, Hydraulics, ECS, and Anti-Ice Synoptic Panes from rendering incorrectly. Enabled the rudder to be powered by both the A and B hydraulic systems, no longer requiring the left engine to be running. Fixed various issues related to the bearing pointer, NAV/DME information banner, autothrottle behavior, roll spoilers, and PFD roll indicator. Aircraft (Daher TBM 930): The minimums alerter now works correctly when using radio minimums. Peripherals: Added new presets for Yawman Arrow peripherals, including General Aviation, Jets, and Helicopters. Fixed issues related to cursor control with devices that have a joystick. Resolved the problem with the right analog stick in the gamepad default preset not turning/spinning any knobs in aircraft. SDK: Fixed a crash that occurred when requesting certain airplane-specific SimVars on helicopters. Removed the limitation on the maximum engine count in the aircraft editor. Daher TBM 940 Single Engine Autothrottle Turboprop
The Daher TBM 940 was announced in March 2019 and is an upgrade to their TBM 930 model. It includes many upgrades including autothrottle technology, auto land technology (Homesafe), along with multiple cabin configurations to choose from.
Powered by a single Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A-66D engine, it is said to have low operational costs. Plus, it is also considered one of the most powerful engines in the PT6A family. When it comes to avionics, the TBM 940 is equipped with the Garmin G3000. It features an all glass integrated avionics system with touch screens and high resolution displays. The maximum cruise speed on the TBM 940 is approximately Mach 0.49, while it's maximum cruise altitude is approx 31,000 ft. It's maximum range is approximately 1,730 nautical miles while traveling with 4 passengers. Microsoft Flight Simulator patch fixes pesky peripheral-related crashing
Now that Microsoft Flight Simulator is here, developer Asobo Studio is busy posting tweaks and tinkerings to improve the simulation game's performance. The latest patch has now landed (pun a little intended), offering some handy fixes that reach across its stability, optimisation, installation, content manager, Simconnect interface, and marketplace.
There are two updates to help improve the plane game's stability in the latest patch notes on its site, the first of which targets a pesky hiccup that it seems was causing the sim to crash "when different input devices/peripherals [were] disconnected". The other also prevents a crash, this time when the package for the TBM 930 aircraft is deleted.
As for installation fixes, there's a decent handful of minor updates that mostly prevent the process from getting blocked in certain circumstances. For example, if the sim fails to connect to servers or a local user account uses a particular type of characters. In addition, the patch means that the content manager will no longer automatically download packages that you've deleted through it, or "get stuck in an infinite loading state when checked offline". Phew.

Meet the RTW Adventurers
We are traveling with a terrific group of people and I thought I would introduce them here. We are traveling around the world with a group of TBM owners. There are 6 TBM aircraft on the journey, including one TBM 850, one TBM 900, 2 TBM 910′s, and 2 TBM 930′s. Everyone gets along great and we’re are all enjoying seeing the world together. 
Here’s the group at our recent elephant outing in Thailand (no, not the ones on the elephants). The elephant experience people dress the tourists up like this and I’m sure they get a great laugh after we leave. They seemed to take more pictures than we did.

Now before anyone gets all upset about these sorts of places being cruel to the elephants, Anais from Air Journey does extensive research before booking an experience like this. She confirmed that the place we used for our elephant outing treats the animals humanely. What we witnessed during our time there certainly supports her finding. 
So, from left to right, Lizzy McPhillips, Tijl Vuyk, Anais Pouille, Brona Folens, Morgan Baum, Dirk Folens (looking to his right), Grayson Baum, Don Caruth, Jim Baum, Cathy Caruth, Guillaume Fabry, Danielle Cornille, Anna Buzzi, Paulo Buzzi, Deb Baum, Howard Janzen. 
Lizzy and Tijl are married and are from the UK. They live outside of London and fly a TBM 910. 
Anais is with Air Journey and is the travel organizer extraordinaire. She takes care of many of the logistics associated with pulling off a trip like this, dealing with all the hotels, outing providers, transportation providers, restaurants, visas, passports, and so on. She’s amazing and definitely someone you want looking after you in a foreign country!
Dirk and Brona Folens are from Ireland and they fly a TBM 850. They live outside Dublin. 
Morgan and Grayson Baum are our kids and they joined us on the journey from Dubai through Chiang Mai, Thailand. 
Don and Cathy Caruth are from Fredericksburg, TX and they fly a TBM 910.
Guillaume (”G”) is with Air Journey and is our pilot guide. He’s amazing, dealing with all our international flight plans, overflight permits, landing permits, local handlers, weather, etc. G provides us not only with a fantastic briefing the night before a flight, but also endless entertainment. We are all incredibly appreciative of everything G and Anais do. 
Danielle is a contract pilot from South Africa. She’s flying with Tijl and Lizzy so there’s a second pilot on board. She’s got more flying experience than most of us and has been a delight to have as part of our group. 
Anna and Paulo are from Switzerland. They fly a TBM 930.
Howard is from Denver, CO. Howard flies the TBM 900 and is somehow the fastest plane of the lot. We all think he got some secret airplane upgrade for serving as the president of the TBM Owners and Pilots Association.
We couldn’t have picked a better group to fly with around the world. This is especially nice since none of us really knew one another before the trip (and I’m sure everyone was a bit nervous). Now we are inviting each other to our homes after the trip. It’s wonderful when people click this way.

Daher TBM 910 Single Engine Turboprop
The Daher TBM 910 single engine turbine turboprop is an upgrade from the 900 series. As per the manufacturer, there were two areas of focus when producing this aircraft. The avionics and the interior.
Many of the interior aspects of this aircraft are also used on the TBM 930 variant. When compared to the 930, both aircraft have pretty much been built the same way, except for their differences in avionics.
The maximum range you can expect when flying the TBM 910 is approximately 1,730 nautical miles. On average, this aircraft can travel up to and above 1,200 nautical miles, with 4 passengers at a speed of Mach 0.49.
The maximum take off distance for the 910 is approximately 2,380 ft, while it's maximum landing distance is approximately 2,430 ft. You can also expect a maximum cruise altitude or service ceiling of 31,000 ft.
Although capable of being set up in many different configurations. The 910 can transport up to 6 passengers. When it comes to avionics, the TBM 910 uses the Garmin G1000 NXi all-glass integrated flight deck. Which includes high resolution displays for presenting data and flight information. It also includes a feature called the "e-copilot", which helps reduce pilot workload and improve overall safety.  
Also:
-As per the manufacturer, the 910 is capable of flying with full fuel and 5 passengers on board. Which is said to be rare in this category of aircraft. -The largest operator for this aircraft is the French air force.

The Daher TBM 940 For Sale
In March 2019, Daher (formerly Socata) announced the release of the TBM 940. It was an upgrade to the TBM 930 model and provided many new upgrades to the design, safety and infrastructure. Some of those upgrades include automatic de-icing and a Garmin system autothrottle.
Certified in May at the EBACE show, the 940 also comes with a trademarked system called Homesafe. This is an emergency auto landing technology, which helps guide passengers to a safe landing location, in case the pilot is not able to.

Performance
This single engine turboprop is powered by a Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A-66D, with a thermodynamic rating of 1,825 horsepower. As per Daher, it is one of the most powerful engines in the PT6A family. It is also considered one of the most reliable powerplants ever built in an aircraft.
In a standard configuration, the 940 can seat a maximum of 6 passengers. It has a maximum range of 1,730 nautical miles, at a long-range cruise speed with 4 passengers. Its maximum cruise speed is approximately Mach 0.49 and maximum cruise altitude / service ceiling is 31,000 ft.
The maximum takeoff weight (MTOW) for the TBM 940 is approx. 7,394 lbs and maximum landing weight (MLW) is approx. 7,024 lbs.
Interior
Similar to other aircraft in its class, the TBM 940 is fairly flexible with its cabin configuration. Seats can easily be removed, allowing for more cabin room and additional space for baggage. The cabin dimensions measure approx. 4 ft in height, 3 ft 12″ in width and 13 ft 4″ in length.
When it comes to the flight deck / avionics, the 940 uses the Garmin G3000 system. The integrated avionics system uses three 12″ ultra high resolution displays, which help enhance the view of terrain and other obstacles for the pilot.
Autothrottle is another feature that can be found on this aircraft. Working in unison with the G3000 system, it is known to be one of the 1st to be included on a single engine turboprop weighing less than 12,500 lbs.

As of 2018, Daher has delivered over 260 TBM 900 model aircraft.
The new 5.7 inch GTC 580 glass touch screen controller, helps provide greater control over advanced functions of the aircraft.

Made it to Athens, Greece! After a beautiful 2 hour flight over the Mediterranean, we landed at the main airport in Athens. This is a busy place with mostly airliners and just a few GA aircraft. The approach controller was FANTASTIC. She sequenced us in amongst the larger, faster aircraft effortlessly and her English was excellent. One of our group landed just barely ahead of an A330 and the tower controller aggressively expedited them off the runway to make room! Amazing that it all worked so well considering the strike in Greece on this day. We’ve now seen strikes in France and Greece on this trip. Makes one wonder….
After fueling (not as simple as telling the fuel guy to “fill ‘er up”), we began a 3 hour drive to our resort. We stopped along the way for lunch at a little Greek restaurant by the water. We’ve all eaten so much on this trip that we only wanted a Greek salad for lunch. The restaurant owner would not hear of it and made us grilled Golden Grouper to go with the salads. It would have been impossible to say “no”. We’re glad that he forced his fish on us because it was absolutely delicious.
We finally arrived at the Amanzoe Resort (long drive on some really twisty roads). Words like stunning, beautiful, gorgeous, and breath taking only begin to describe this place. It is a secluded mountain top resort surround by olive groves and magnificent views of the ocean and Greek countryside. The resort itself is very private with only 38 rooms for guests. “Rooms” isn’t actually the right word. They call the guest quarters “pavilions” here. His and her bathrooms, sunken tub with a view, outdoor terrace, and private plunge pool make the accommodations truly luxurious. We’re here for 3 nights but can’t imagine wanting to leave. We feel like the luckiest people in the world to be able to make this trip in our TBM 930. Next we fly to Aqaba, Jordan.
