Lights, Camera, Frieren! Tooru Iwazawa and The Future
With Frieren now finally finished, there's really no better time to examine Iwazawa's stint with the work and how they influenced it. Though, the answer's really simple- Iwazawa was a central component to Frieren's success, and potentially an even greater boon in terms of popularity than series director Keiichirou Saitou.
Now in the wake of a hibernating production preparing for an inevitable continuation, Iwazawa faces the question of: "where to next"? No spoilers for this one though, if you want to find out where you'll be likely seeing Frieren's action director next, you can find out in the full post.
hi tumblr. please help. me and my good friend @wiseheartedloki have gotten into Takt Op Destiny. Watched all the anime. What the fuck. We are trying to find more of the story and a way to . I dont know, Understand More? We are super obsessed with how the story went and generally want more information. No clue how to find the Manga, Novel, And we just found out the Game shut down April 9th 2024. We learned about this anime April 12th and stayed awaked into April 13th, we are days late. How do we learn more of the stories? Please.
i have my dms open as well as asks with anon on, and so does @wiseheartedloki. Please fucking help us.
Now what if I took Takt Op. Symphony and made an OC
Takt Op. as a franchise in total has me in a total chokehold, Destiny was a very exciting short anime, and Symphony has me on the verge of putting in my card number to get more musicarts- I’d love to say I was joking.
Lacrimosa is a musicart that embodies loss and mourning, the overwhelming sadness that comes with it, and yet how you must keep moving. So far the only male-presenting musicart, he is quite reserved and often melancholy. He tries his best to keep to himself listening to his conductor without question and destroy Despair Dolls with flawless movement.
And his Conductor, who so far I’ve been calling Valse, and they’re a rambunctious and easily excitable person who is utterly obsessed with their dear musicart. Maybe they’re a bit too flirty for their occupation, but they’re good at what they do.
headcanon that takt is able to make so many little drinks because he used to work at starbucks. this has no affect on anything ever i just find it hilarious.
Lights, Camera, Frieren! Part 2: Toru Iwazawa's Directorial Debut
Now entering the middle stages of Iwazawa's career, I've taken the time to put together a brief history on Frieren's action director with their time on Takt Op. Destiny. Not only was this series their first action direction credit, but it's also the series to which Iwazawa owes their modern success and home base to.
Come take a deeper dive into how Iwazawa landed the role, performed within it, and made the connections that allowed them to work on Frieren.
well i have just known that some other in-game musicarts are also in the anime (it actually makes sense for me to forget about them cause i didn't even know them until i played the game lmao)
also after "final" battle, there's also a scene where moonlight and air on g sting were chatting together. i wonder if they are close (since i never see them together in game + air on g sting is obsessed with takt...)
Headcanon: Musicarts can fluently speak the language their score was composed in, so Berlin Symphonica has a creole language of sorts spoken exclusively by Musicarts!
look i even made drawings to support this. as campanella would say, praise me dammit
