The Albatross by Charles Baudelaire

The poem reflects Baudelaire's concern for the fate of the poet (or more generally, any individual with an artistic temperament). The albatross's brutal mistreatment at the hands of the sailors is a metaphor for the poet's plight in a society that fails to understand him and actively berates and mocks his unique gifts.

Chicago, Illinois Soldier Field 2013 vs Sydney, Australia Accor Stadium 2024.

I kept to thinking how strange and incredible it was to not be at soldier field for her concert, my first two shows of hers and only shows were at soldier field, and I always wondered and dreamed to be so close and on the floor for Taylor. But the real question is How’d I end end up on the floor in Sydney Australia…. Can someone please tell me because it still feels like a dream.

At my first concert I was 11/12 years old and I was talking with these older girls around 20/22 years old who were sitting next me just having so much feeling during the songs, and I was little so I could not relate in the same ways for a bit of the songs because I had never been in an breakup nor a relationship.

I am now 21 in this photo around the same age as those girls were, and seeing the red era on the floor while relating to those songs on a deeper level and more mature level was just something from another universe for me. Full circle moment.
