Deutsches Technikmuseum tour - badly photographed whaling exhibit

the museum had a small exhibit about whaling and I thought that @focsle might like it! please excuse the photo quality, it was SO dark in there...

BONUSES:

they also had this chest standing at the exhibit but it didn't have a sign and it looked kind of out of place. is that a whaling-specific chest??

this ship model doesn't have anything to do with whaling but it's still insanely beautiful imo (made out of amber)

for the first time in my life, someone actually commented on my dialect. which is wild bc i always thought it's Not That Noticeable or at least similar enough to the way people speak here

but my colleague saw straight through me and said "the way you talk... you're not from around here, are you? are you from around magdeburg?"

not 100% spot-on but still accurate enough to make me think about how i sound when i talk LMAOO

i gotta take the train to Berlin for a seminar today and - in my endless wisdom - planned ahead so even if my train and the next one are delayed, i'd still arrive on time
