ok we've had a typical day for mimi, so what's a typical day for mira?

ooooo hell yes! heres an approximate rundown of a normal day where strade does NOT take her to the basement and has not taken her recently enough that shes just. hiding <3

wake up bright and early

make coffee and wake up ren to get him to help make breakfast (sometimes hes grumpy and wont get up so she does her best to make something at least even tho shes not a great cook)

wake strade up if hes not already up but he usually is unless hes hungover

serve him breakfast and hang out with him until he heads out for the day to people watch or build a deck for someone or whatever the hell he does when hes not murdering people

then most of the day is just walking around the house tidying up, finding cozy spots to nap (preferably with nice warm sunbeams but those are rare since the curtains closed rule is in place) and spending time with ren in his room

when strade gets home she goes to greet him but if she hears him come in the back door she won't bc that usually means he has someone to take downstairs and she wants no part of that

and if he does come home alone she relaxes on the couch with him for a while until bedtime :3 unless hes hanging out downstairs obviously then she'll just snuggle up with ren and sleep with him

Keeping Mira content and lost in her delusions of romance in between basement time makes it all the sweeter when he drags her down those stairs screaming and crying bc the happier she is the more betrayed she feels even if it's happened a thousand times before ❤️ gets him every time :)

(ffxiv anon) ohh but what if Ren's a bard? Like, the ones that stand around Limsa and New Gridania doing nothing but play music to kill time. Maybe that's how Strade (or Strade & Mira) got him- They waited for that small period of time where nobody's up and around, but he's getting his instrument(s) set up. just "hmm my fox now !"

It'd also kinda lean in to what you're suggesting - He isn't a dungeon diver adventurer but just kind of a 'sure thing Mrs. Widow McElder the Orphanage Owner, I'll take this down the road for you!' adventurer- it'd also make for nice 💕drama💕 when beefy adventurers armed to the teeth come knocking on Strade's door asking if he's seen the kind bard who tended to those who needed help the most- only to get mauled by a vicious cat girl dancer and her owner

OH YES BARD REN IS A+.....when he's not carrying groceries or helping cats out of trees he's performing for some extra coin and strade was so entertained he was like hey buddy :) I got a job for ya :) and then he was never heard from again! Since he's so good at small jobs he's perfect for keeping around, he just cleans up all on his own! Super convenient bc as usual strade can't be assed to clean up after himself, especially since he lives in the woods and chances of anyone stopping by and slim...he keeps his workshop clean enough by disposing of corpses but the upstairs? Doesn't bother 99% of the time

Having a bard and a dancer is great for staying entertained too, all the joy of going to the bar but in the comfort of his own shack! And unlike at the bar if he decides he wants to get handsy with the dancer, he's allowed to ;)

I could see him employing their combined talents for picking people up too, having them perform on the street and then using Mira to lure drunken idiots back to the shack...better not get too handsy with her on the way there though or those hands might be the first thing strade decides to cut into tho!

ive thought about it a bit but i havent gotten too far with it yet since i want it to be Real Good since ffxiv and btd are like. THE hyperfixations rn lmaooo....rn ive got mira as a miqote (keeper of the sun clan) and strade as.......either a regular ass hyur/human or a garlean defector who left because he was tired of being told who he could and couldnt kill bc yknow theyre an uptight military even though theyre shitty theyve got their rules and ways of doing things and he just wasnt about that life so he ran off to eorzea to set up his chop shop on his own terms :) as for ren there have been a few npcs who are kind of sort of kitsune type characters (a few fate bosses in yanxia come to mind) so it wouldnt be a huge stretch to say he could be a kitsune? but if i had to pick a playable class id def say a miqote who's more fox-passing than cat-passing lol

mira was just a regular adventurer, she left her clan homeland and cut ties with her family to see the world and one of her first missions from the adventurers guild was to investigate some disappearances! while looking into it and asking around she meets strade who offers to help her out by taking her to some prime locations....including his shack in the woods ;) either keeps her locked up or forces her to help him hunt victims/report false information to the adventurer's guild to keep eyes off him (like raven in tinr) and stuff! ren is already there when she gets there probably but i could see him being someone they grabbed together later, maybe he and mira are from the same place for the extra drama!

strade taking miras hand and just kind of gently squeezing her fingertips to watch her claws come out and go back in bc he thinks its neat but ofc she sees it as a moment of intimacy when really hes thinking about how much fun it would be to cut her hands open and see how they work <3

ok i cant stand to look at this anymore right now so youre gonna take it as it is and deal with it until i either a. forget about it forever or b. work up the confidence/happiness with it to finish it properly

Whats strades favorite to mess with Mira? Like gross her out or make her squirm

putting her on camera! she hates it more than anything, its sooo embarrassing for her <3 as much as she hates their basement playtime, it is very intimate and personal in a sickening way so she really doesnt like the thought of hundreds of people tuning into the stream watching it, and she REALLY doesnt want strade to record it for himself because then theres a chance he'll show it to her and thats just. horrible :) not only does she have to remember it, but she has to see herself in such a compromising position <3 so needless to say strade makes sure they have lots of movie nights together hehe

youre onto something here :eyes: i also think a claw-on-knife fight would be SO sexy for them <3 closest they get to that is when shes in heat and slips out of her restraints and he has to fight her off him so he can get her pinned down again :3c honestly idk if mira would ever snap like that while strade is around? his very presence is enough to keep her under control bc any time they arent in the basement, shes interpreting every interaction as a romantic one, thus she is soothed until the next atrocity! in the canon btd2 verse she definitely goes. really far off the deep end and has the potential to become even worse depending on mc, yknow how it is <3 the whole ren keeping you forever vs ren letting you help him get over his trauma :)

shes a romantic by nature so she was pretty excited about getting married but that didnt stop her from being super nervous bc like who can blame her, she hadnt even met the guy! but when she did it was instant heart eyes :) he was charming and funny and handsome and she had no fucking idea what she was in for <3

Strade making Mira shave his face for him but if she cuts him he cuts her back :)

eventually she'll get good at it bc it's Intimate(tm) but there'll be a few slip ups every now and then
