Summer table set up ideas

Summer season is for all of us one huge ceremony of long days, no sweater weather and blooming flowers - for me is summer tightly connected with long weekend summer parties, family reunions or just romantic dinners by the pinky-gold sunsets.

The season always mirror on our tables - as by served food and drinks, also by serving itself. Today I would love to focus a bit on serving and so I prepared for you a few easy ideas how to style great summer table mark: easy and fast (It's summer, nobody have extra energy so no waste :D )

1. White classic

This table setting is simply, elegant, timeless - worth any occasion, any day any season. Classical white tableware (mine here is Rhombe collection from Lyngby Porcelæn ) with simply ageless pattern. Whole table is kept in natural tones - the elegant look made by tableware is perfectly completed with messy, not ironed linen in earthy grey color. Too much monochromatic for the summer right? So I added here pink-nude linen tea towels and flowers! However, when is talk about the flowers, there is not needed to cut anything from your lovely blooming garden or pots! I used dried poppy which looks extraordinary on the plates and be sure your guests will have dun with them ;) My all natural look is interrupted by chromatic candleholder ( Stoff Nagel candleholder) which reflect strong sunrises and creating the game of light on the table - the same as crispy glass ( Frederik Bagger )!

2. A game of patterns

By this table set up I used a tableware which have significant patterns and mixed colors & materials. Although everybody have different color combination, it's still very compact and cozy because of the patterns. Here I have Hammershøi tableware from Kähler design, which I love for a touch of industrialism and in the same time touch of ageless elegance - blue ceramic, white ceramic and grey glass together it's playful and still natural looking - great for summer, but also for any occasion!

3. Simply details

Sometimes is less more and here I want to show you why :) I used simply tableware just with a small patterns on it. I didn't add on the table any other deco, any candles, nothing just one clear glass vase with juts a 2 flowers in it. I guess it's “sounds” very empty, but take a look how cozy effect we got! Sometimes is minimalism priceless and a safe bet :) For this styling I used Iittala Sarjaton series and ageless Alvar Aalto Vase only.

4. Go Green

Green is in my eyes color of summer - very fresh color, calming eyes - so let's put it on table :) Simply white tableware combined with very sprigged tableware and in the same highlighted with flowers! Dried yellow baubles and very floral tea towel, so it's creating together very cozy, colourful and definitely not boring tableware! PS: The flowers are also on cutlery :) For this styling I used Lyngby Porcelæn tableware and candle holders combined witgreen vintage Rörstrand tableware

5. Go Blue

Blue is very calming color - even if it's outside 30 °C. and you don't want to eat anything only watermelon and ice cream, good choice of tableware can change it! Let's bet on true blue color! It will do a magic. I combined here very significant blue patterns and the result is simply, not too much decorated (but in the same time very decorated) table good for cold days or days when you need to cold down ;) For this styling I used mainly Iittala Taika tableware.

6. Ceremony of colors

As you might see, here is no connection between used tableware - just colors and colors :) I mixed blue, green, red, orange, yellow, aqua - put it all together and just enjoy the unique color mess which is not so often seen in our home <3

1st Advent Gif Guide

A BIT OF GREEN!

If you are still not sure, if you would choose “correct” gift, then just catch a small plant! Green plants are creating cosines and calm space! Choose less difficult plant which is ideal for not too much light and not too much dark, because you never know where the gifted one is going to place it and so you will not limit him or her with extra conditions of the plant :)
