“ what? no shot, how would that even be possible? ” despite her immediate refusal, quinn does pause to think on the matter for a moment. her research had never taken her anywhere supernatural ( so far ), and she normally wasn’t one to close herself off to any possibilities... but she knew when to trust her gut.

“ it’s gotta be chat noir, i’m telling you. ” quinn hadn’t been looking into this girl for months with nothing to show for it. though she wasn’t exactly any closer to finding out her identity – or having an actual conversation with her, even – she’s come to know the vigilante’s patterns quite well. “ see this? ” she taps on the deep claw marks than run across almost the entire length of the wall. “ it’s totally the doing of her claw thingies. ” quinn wiggles her own fingers for theatrics.

sliding her phone from her pocket, she taps away at the screen at a rapid pace, and no more than a second later comes her victorious exclamation. “ aha! there was a robbery nearby last night, see? ” she shows ella an article on the man’s arrest. “ chat noir must’ve caught them and turned them in. ” it says nothing on how the police caught the perpetrators, but quinn knows the vigilante is not one to take credit; she wonders whether it’s for the sake of anonymity or if there’s more to it... modesty? or perhaps the girl has bigger secrets to keep?

“ besides, i don’t think it was a full moon last night, ” quinn adds, entertaining ella’s theory with a playful smile. “ but it’s a fun story to tell the kids. ” so long as maddy doesn’t find out...
