Mainly asking because I know the change might make things annoying with tagging and stuff.

This is going to be a long day with not much contact so that'll be fun...
Can now see the wisdom in don't go to bed angry. The proper way to do that was probably to step out of the room, regroup and muster then go back in to talk then it's more settled. A lot more settled than what it is now. Then certain bits will be squashed and other avenues are shown rather than the current of any and all are possible and I'm just waiting and see what happens. I am probably foolishly waiting for your response as I don't want to overload you. I want to know that you want to talk to me. The whole two way street thingy. Have I reacted wrongly, have I messed this up again. Will I hear from you soonish? Now expecting not much contact until Wednesday at probably the earliest mixed in with not knowing when I get to see you next is great. The one thing to calm my head might not talk to be for half a week. I won't be able to focus on much until it happens.
I kept writing, through most of the night. My sadness does not make me want to give up and sleep. It does the opposite, it wants to stay up and work. Obviously the thing it wants to work on can't be by just myself which elongates the evening.
Now comes the indefinite waiting. Waiting away is so much worse than the waiting with, no matter what else is happening that is always the case.

Sorry to bother you but I have a question which I hope you will answer. I've noticed that in your post for Monthly Word Count for July you are on chapter 5 of Days on a Wire but on AO3 there are 3 chapters only. What's up with chapter 4? If you've already explained this before, sorry to make you repeat yourself. Thank you and have a great day
i'm evil and like making people suffer >:D
okay no more seriously:
1) the way i write, my progress is not regular at all. i could write a whole chapter in a month and then not touch it again for another six. or write in 200 words chunks that i hate the next time i look at it, and then i have to delete it all and restart some other way. it's better to hold back from posting as soon as i'm done because it makes things a little more regular for the readers. otherwise people get used to having new stuff every two weeks and then "did you die, it's been two months??" like PLEASE come talk to me until it's been two years, before that point it's not even that alarming. :(
2) for more complex stories, sometimes i figure out plot-related vital things that rely on stuff that happened in previous chapters in the middle of writing, and if i need to change previous scenes and it's already posted i'm in deep shit, because, ugh, it's either people thinking i missed a massive plothole or doing retcons. (ugh.) usually once it's posted i don't edit it anymore, so that means i have to keep working around what's online. so if it's a longer fic, i usually try to keep a buffer so i can go back and tweak. i almost never succeed for more than two or three chapters, but that's the theory.
so basically, chapter four of days on a wire is nominally complete but might need edited until it runs smoothly with chapter five, i probably need to take some exposition/worldbuilding out and put it somewhere it'll fit better, and idk how long that'll take, so i'm stretching out posting it until five is at least 75% complete and i can imagine having it completed sometime soonish.
none of it is a rule or even a well thought-out habit, mind. i'm deciding mostly by feel and/or how much i'm jonesing for comments. XD

💻🍰⏰📊 for the fanfic ask game! <3
ty for the ask!!
💻 do you do research for your fics? what’s the deepest dive you’ve done?
yep, i do probably too much research haha
at one point i was deep into whether or not it could conceivably flood in charlottesville, virginia (turns out it can). also, african countries with long-standing dictatorships, court procedure and the actual drive from london, ontario to canton, michigan and back.
🍰 name one of your fave comfort fics (doesn’t have to be your all time fave).
gonna cheat a little bit, because currently, it's two: i’ll give you my heart (make a place for it to happen) by humanveil for svu, and The Seconds Before I Jumped by stars_inthe_sky for the west wing!
⏰ do you spend more time reading fic, writing fic, or do you do both equally?
i read a LOT of fic, so definitely more time reading. writing usually comes in spurts, since i tend to write one-shots, not multichaps.
📊 current number of WIPs
two! a vignette fic for the west wing, and a very random collection of ideas and sentences that'll hopefully end up being a second svu fic sometime soonish.
ask me questions about fic

Helluuu, so, as you made a lovely chart and is probably more informed than I am: have I misunderstood, or will there be no place to offer an alpha-like deal for critters? That is: no option that gives access to VODs after a few hours? That'll change things up quite a bit for everyone in time zones that make live-watching difficult or impossible :/
I myself am a European critter, so I understand the plight. As far as I am aware, the VOD should be available on the Critical Role Twitch channel, which means you have to be a subscriber to that channel to be able to access the VODs.
I am assuming these VODs will be up immediately after broadcast, because that’s usually how Twitch works and that’s also what used to happen on Alpha and the G&S Twitch channel before. However, the news update only said ‘over the weekend’, so we cannot be completely sure. But I’m hoping that’s just a different way of saying that the VOD should be available after the broadcast, and ‘over the weekend’ includes Friday.
So: VOD will no longer be available on G&S Twitch and Alpha, but should be available on the CR Twitch channel relatively ‘soonish’ after the live broadcast.

Fresh's trailer will probably be shown at Warner Bros. conference that'll happen this week. So might publish it soonish too. https://twitter.com/freshdarIing/status/1429136736836329475
Vamp - WB bought the film?
That source is from a Wiki page, is there a confirmation from an industry source?

I missed the ceremony yesterday, but I saw some snippets later on twitter and it made me cry a bit. On one hand, I totally understand why the Japanese are so against it. C is scary and it almost feels like a betrayal to let all these people into the country. On the other hand, I felt so bad for the athletes. Training at the limit for 4, now 5 years for this one important event, that'll probably happen only once in their life. Missing it as an athlete would leave me heartbroken. 1/2*
Yes! All of this as well. I’m glad they only had to wait one year as opposed to longer but yeah I can’t imagine dedicating so much of your life to this only to have it yanked away suddenly and you have to spend even more time waiting. And there’s always the ethics surrounding olympics towns and the things they bring to the nearby populations and when covid is thrown into the mix I’m sure like u said they’re so nervous about what it could all bring in the end. Like what happens when all the shiny Olympic haze leaves?
In the US I’m not quite sure how it compares tbh :( it definitely feels somewhat apocalyptic in some senses but there’s a big portion of ppl who never treated it that way and have been jumping at every opportunity to go back to normalcy. And yeah it just doesn’t feel right! Like the whiplash from first being cooped up and cautious to suddenly getting weird looks for wearing the masks in public is so weird. especially with all the news about the delta variants popping up it’s scary!! I feel like we may have some normalcy soonish but there will always be vestiges of this time from now on in the back of ppls minds :(
