this is going to sound SO dumb but george is a meta right???? like he's not just a regular psychic?????? (i mean i'm assuming that's why he's called a metapsychic) ok now thinking about it, the answer to that question seems so obvious BUT IM DUMB AND I NEED CLARIFICATION (pls dont judge me)

also is george the only metapsychic??? OMG ARE YOU PULLING AN A:TLA WHERE HES THE LAST OF HIS KIND???? i know in your summary it said george realized there were other people "like him" but that could apply to so many things (gay, psychic, british, in need of therapy, imprisoned, meta, etc.)

are we also going to get any bamf george? he deserves to be a badass after dealing with so much shit. i am a firm believer that george could kick everyone's asses if he wanted to (especially mark bryan's)

which class/type is the most powerful? i feel like it should be deltas, but i'm biased towards george so i'm going with metapsychics. also aether one of the most feared EMs in history, and they were a metapsychic, so it's not that far of a stretch to assume metapsychics are the most powerful class. but it's up to you boss :)

what are the limits to deltas? can they take away other's powers permanently? can they absorb multiple powers? are the powers they absorb the same strength or weaker? like if hypothetically, a delta absorbed power from aether, would they gain all of her immense power and be super OP or just like a fraction of it? also if a delta gained powers from a different EM, would that EM become weaker? are there different levels of strengths for deltas? like could a really powerful delta absorb more power than a delta who isn't as powerful? or are they all the same?

so you explained that with each generation, EMs get weaker due to their bloodline being diluted, and that's also how some class/types went extinct. but then you also said metas had too high delta levels, and therefore their abilities couldn't be passed down. but obviously george is here, and so is olivia, so does that mean the delta bloodline thingy doesn't apply to them? like are their powers still diluted or are they just as powerful as other metas were back then? (*whispers* does this mean george could possibly be as powerful as aether??????)

i am LIVING for the possibility of dark!george or morally dubious!george btw, king shit.

i dont know if this was on purpose, but the direct parallels between dream&co. feeling outraged at EMs having to hide their powers (which dream considers to be a significant part of their true self) and deltas being able to (what i'm assuming) take away those powers is very ironic.

also, can i just SAY, i absolutely LOVE the direction you took this story in. most books/fics that have superpowers or fantasy aspects in it always have one super evil Bad Guy that's probably a thousands years old and was said to be unstoppable until 'the chosen one' rolls around. having the main conflict of this story revolve around political issues is such a nice change and it's opened up so many new possibilities as to how this story could end. honestly, i'm thrilled because i feel like with most stories, it always just ends with one epic Boss fight, and boom happily ever after. but you can't solve this issue with fists or superpowers, i mean it'd certainly help, but that's not the main premise of the story. it's about discrimination, inequality, loss, guilt, grief, love, friendship, family, etc. which not only, is a nice change of pace in stories like this, but it's also incredibly relatable because it reflects back on the things happening in our own world. it's amazing how you've come up with this beautiful storyline all on your own, and honestly i feel a bit scandalous because i have the pleasure of reading this for free.

I don't think it's a dumb question seeing as I've never clarified! yes! he is a meta!! so the way it goes is: regular EMs, master EMs (evolved you could also say), and then metas

and idk, is he the last metapsychic? as far as we know he is but then again, we didn't even know deltas were still around and kicking soooo.... :)) AND LMAO I LOVE THAT, I agree, people like him might as well apply to all of those haha

deltas can only take powers temporarily. when they do, they're taking energy directly from the host, so the person will feel weaker and experience DDS (delta deficiency sickness) symptoms, also, if theoretically, a delta tried to absorb power from someone like aether, they would not be able to handle it unless they "know" how to control it--with power comes instability and the need to know how to manage it so I don't see it being a very nice experience for the delta since they could be like "overcharged" ig you could call it. deltas also have different levels of powers! some might be able to talk in powers easier/more at a time

the delta bloodline device was considered fact by the scientific community, but seeing as george and olivia exist, who knows? it could mean a lot of things! they could be exceptions or the entire theory could be wrong--scientific theories evolve over time and they work the same in this universe--so answer: we don't know, but there will be discussion of it later on!

AND I AM LIVING FOR HIM TOO! honestly, it's smt I REALLY wanted to do, and who knows? it might happen, but we'll just have to wait and see!

and thank you!!!! as much as I enjoy chosen one stories, I find stories that mirror irl problems and human psychology and morally gray issues SO MUCH MORE INTERESTING!!! it's why the xmen were so interesting to me and shows that really disprove this whole good/bad guy dynamic so much!! I think they reveal so much about how we think and function and we need a lot more superhero franchises like that!

and you have no idea how much it means to me that you enjoy these parts of my writing because I try so hard to add meaning and reflect things I see in the real world but through a digestable and controllable medium that is still entertaining and I can actively explore different mindsets through. it takes a lot of work but it's so worth it! having such an engaging and sweet community like this is more than enough payment for me! I write to share, make people smile, and get better at my craft!! :D
