grrrr i hate having so many cool Ideas and lacking the technical skills to bring them to life i wanna draw my cool ocs in their cool horror-fantasy world

#do i make a post rambling about these 2 ocs im making in my brain rn #i might just use these tags actually fuck it #so post-apo fantaasy world where the entire ecosystem was burned down to a point where it could no longer support any plant life #so instead of lichens and shrubs and trees coming in to establish themselves in the aftermath the primary successors are parasitic fungi #that release their spores into the air and rapidly take over any living thing they can touch #so then all the pplant life that grew in were things that could adapt a symbiotic relationship with it #im thinking like. all these giant trees that host the fungus in order to respirate vis a vis coral + coral polyps #do you feel me do you see what im going for aesthetically here #so nayway in the immediate aftermath of the big apocalypse event the surface was completely inhospitable #if you somehow survived the extreme temperatures and unfiltered radiation you would die from coming into contact with the spores #so the royals and nobles used all the magic they had at their disposal to take their kingdoms out of the earth and suspend them in the sky #yes i have zelda brainrot rn tthanks for noticing. anyway #magic in this world isnt Tameable its treated as a wild living force/elemtent and always has a cost of some kind #we're operating on fae rules ok humans learned magic from the trickster nature spirits that exist in complete harmony with it #but because theyre trickster nature spirits interacting with them was outlawed #those who had learned were sworn to their kings and magic became strictly reserved for those rich enough to afford tutelage from them #if you were caught using ''untamed'' magic you either swore yourself to the king or you were imprisoned or killed depending on age/status #anyway all the royals and nobles are in their little sky kingdoms with magic barriers to block the radiation #and everyone else who didnt die burrowed underground and created massive underground cities that eventually built back out #so fast forward like a century or so #the ecosystem has adapted and the atmosphere was somewhat repaired by the efforts of the royal magic users #(the kingdoms use this as a way to claim authority/ownership over the entire surface)#so now the surface is somewhat more hospitable with the right precautions #so ok the ocs. an artificer/healer who payed the price to make it to the surface and learn from the fae #he learned magic to combine it with the mechanical knowledge he got from his inventor parents and use it to help people adapt #at the cost of never being truly known or loved by another person #so no one including his parents can really remember him beyond passive recognition #except for this secret society of other people who paid the same price for magic.
