so with the new context from the unwanted guest what r we thinking abt alecto as johns leftover undigested 'fridge meat'
#YOU DIDNT SWALLOW A DIAMOND.. YOU SWALLOWED A PIECE OF MEAT !! and boy is the whole earth a hefty slab to chew#i guess john realised what would happen and how she would subsume him and he would no longer be the person he was#but he needed some semblance of himself to stay in control and maintain that 10000 year revenge streak grind#presumably locking her in the tomb slowed/stopped the meshing of their souls into a single person.....??#or maybe its bc alecto will last as a battery for him for far longer in a preserved state.. seeing as souls are 'finite' and wear thin#so it keeps him far closer to real 'immortality' than the other lyctors who have already chewed up every scrap of their cav meat.....#my head is so buzzing from unwanted guest i cant remember what the general consensus on alecto theories was before i read it#so maybe it was smth already along these lines....... ahhhhhh#.diaries#tlt#the unwanted guest spoilers
