#i mean it did since#but like#damn#alison speaks?#taylor swift#FOR ME ITS THE FORGIVENESS LINE VS THE SMALLEST MAN WHO EVER LIVED#ITS FR THAT GROWTH#that you don’t have to forgive people who hurt you#to also want to wish for them to be okay in the future#that there is room to be hurt and angry and still not wishing badly on their future out of understanding of where you both are at / were at#or whatever it may be#and like particularly in reference to addiction#and the acknowledgement of all the shitty parts but also not wanting to take away from the very real struggle it can be#that inherently there is no villian or bad guy#and it absolutely fucking sucks that people made mistakes and people got hurt#but they can move forward and wish each other a future that is not as painful as the past#without ever… forgiving#and that’s okay#you don’t have to forgive people#like i feel like every other past song mentions her forgiving#so for ttpd to explore what about.. not forgiving… is the growth i see
