One of the best parts of my job is meeting the bees
#li'l leafcutter bee my beloved#This one was very smol#Bees#They have bee tents in the fields for pollination and apparently this field has leafcutter bees#which is very valid of it they're very cute#I think they're silvery leafcutter bees cause most of them look kinda silvery or grey and they're small with green eyes#But don't quote me on that I'm only a bee enthusiast not a bee expert lol

Fun facts under the cut!
Megachile leachella is a solitary bee species that is known for being the smallest leafcutter bee in the UK.
It is native to the Western Palaearctic region stretching from Southern Fennoscandia to North Africa and the Middle East. Typically, this bee species can be found dwelling in sandy habitats, particularly coastal dunes.
A distinguishing characteristic of these bees is their utilization of leaf and petal cuttings in the construction of their nests!
