im sorry, did yall think that the people paying migrant workers illegally low wages and putting them to work in dangerous weather conditions to pick your vegetables drew the line at only employing adults
#this is a mean post#im tired ignore me#ky speaks#like. idk i just want people to actually care and look at the real issue of 'WHY do these kids Need to work in the first place'#becasue ideal scenarios aside. they do Need to work. currently. in their real world circumstances.#and i feel like some of you are jsut Not getting that what so ever#and are avoiding answering that very simple question#instead of doing some useless reactionary posturing bullshit like cancelling an ice cream brand#and like. i get it to an extent#having to ask yourself 'what would Realistically happen to these kids if we shut down the places illegally employing them' is like#a shitty question with a shitty answer#but can yall at least pretend to ask. pretend to care. pretend to come up with a solution to the Actual issue and Work On That Solution#maybe then we'd start getting somewhere idk#im tired#sick to my stomach about all the white us americans only focusing on ben n jerrys on that damn post
