going thru all the lifting/racking tags on tumblr because i miss the lifting subreddit and thinking man. Why Is Everyone In Here Acting 12 and then the more i think about it its like oh yeah who else on planet earth would publicly post crimes they can be traced back to for aesthetic reasons. “hiiii here’s my itemized list of everything i took today, the prices, and what stores i went to so the cops can search thru all the camera footage and look for me easier and also clock fines on me for stuff they didnt even see me take!! ^_^ hehe”

also, keep in mind that poor and homeless people lift, and they typically have a way harder time than you do because poor/homeless looking people get immediate suspicion from LP. (this can also include like, all minorities depending on how racist the people working are.) don’t make it harder for them. don’t make your store up their security because you took too much too fast, and now a possible source of food or income is closed off from people who can’t afford a magnet or fancy tag tool like you can.
people take stuff for different reasons. we all need to look out for each other’s backs. don’t fuck this kind of thing up for all of us.

My Newfound Talent and Future Backup Plan
I HAVE FOUND I AM FUCKING AMAZING AT PERFUMES. OK.
I'm not even that into perfume. This is a safety deposit for my future. I got classics mostly. I only actually use the gardenia G00chie flora and the n1na apple one. The rest? I keep in a dark box in a cold spot. I keep the boxes, intact, in another box.
If ever I'm in a pinch and I really need quick money, at least I have these.
I'm a big believer in capitalizing on your talents. I find, that for a relatively new lifter (6 months ish) I'm pretty decent. And so, I've decided that while I'm in this little "Phase" of my life, I might as well do future me a favour. Lyft good quality products, stock up on things I'll always need, build a solid closet, but most strange, get things you can resell that won't be washed off with a trend cycle. By having these 9+ expensive, high end perfumes , I have something to re-sell. Something that's worth a lot. I made sure to sort of go with timeless scents and classics. I do like them a lot. Hopefully, I'll never have to sell them for money, but, you know. If ever the time comes, I'll be prepared.
so if you're good at lifting bro, don't just lift instantly-gratifying bs that you won't be using anymore in six months. Invest in good things, live la vida loca!

lil free shopping tips (;
• actually buy something (not just a pack of gum if you're in the store long lol)
• "borrow" small items with no price tag e.g. nail polish
• wear neutral colors, never black. try grey or brown. basically, wear clothing that isn’t notable whatsoever.
• bring a shopping list
• don't carry id
• if you have money carry it with you in a wallet, if you have gift cards bring those too
• have an empty cup (like a mcdonalds cup), pretend to drink out of it but use it to put stuff in
• dress like you can afford what you're "borròwing"
• be kind and friendly espec w staff
• tãke 'try me' items (makeup, perfume, lotion)
• hide things in a bra duuhh
• scope out sĕcurity cams with your eyes not by moving your head
• act like you own what you støle. apply lipbalm, drink a drink you stöle, eat a candy you took, put on deodorant you stôle. easy peasy...
