Obsessed with the fact that Dronning Margrethe has a casting credit on netflix. Just wild. Like ah yes let me go look at the films that the Danish queen has been in on netflix

The Art of Seduction in question is just Cazotte being a soft boy - completely delusional and pretentious. "I'm a nice guy she's sure to fall for me" vibes. He really was living his She's All That fantasy. thinking he can win the bet AND the girl.
A pompous charlatan indeed!
The Queen of Denmark apparently did the set and costume design and honestly those are the best parts of this movie they are GORGEOUS.
Wish that there was more Ehrengard being an icon because a lot of the highlights were when we got to see how smart and witty she is. Just a waste that she's such an interesting character that barely got explored or given time to flourish in the narrative.
The film has its funny moments for sure but the pacing is not the best - this movie really made an hour and a half feel longer than it should - I don't want to be feeling the need to check how long is left in a movie constantly while watching it!
I did however love the bait and switch from the beginning to the end of who we should be rooting for in the story. Too little too late for me unfortunately!
