Knitting is apparently trending so i feel the urge to share with you the fact I knit a lot, and apparently rarely take photos of my finished pieces only WIPs (i finish things, i swear…)

Just finished another section of Shawlography by Stephen West. I think I'm about 1/3 done by now?

LOOK AT ALL OF THE DIFFERENT STITCHES 🤩 it‘s finally cold enough to wear the knitting projects i finished during summer *puts on 10 handmade sweaters and shawls and gets a heatstroke*

It’s FINISHED!!!!🎉🥳 I have finished my Twists and Turns Shawl. And I couldn’t be happier!!!🤩 This shawl was the mystery knit 🧶 along last year from Stephen West @westknits my first shawl I did of his was Shawlography 2021and had enjoyed the experience and learning so many techniques. 2022 came Oct 6, I too started like all other participants. By clue 2 I had been in tears 😭 cursed several times and finally took a break from the shawl for about 2 or 3 weeks. When I picked it up I was beginning clue 3. Talk about a 180! I found myself really enjoying the shawl and the process.😊 and before I knew it I had completed it. I want to point out I did the shawl completely no early bind off. I had made this decision when I took the break. Why? Just had to complete it. Will I do another mkal of West’s? Yes! Shawlography is the most structurally and technically unique shawl I have ever knit. I am astounded and in love... Far from being dreary, my October was full of excitement! Strik danske sjaler - og Stephen West

Jeg deltager i Jaffelafs samstrik Strik danske sjaler eller Et sjal pr. kvartal. I første kvartal gælder det Helsinki-sjalet af Birgitte Zeuner. 

Jeg er godt i gang og når nok at blive færdig inden for fristen. Sjalet består af en blondekant, der strikkes først. Herefter samles masker op i kanten, og man strikker i retriller, dels ensfarvet, dels i striber. Lidt i stil med Skråplan fra Garnudsalg. Det er sjovt at strikke, og det går fint som TV-strik. 

Garnet er Pernilla fra Filcolana. 

Inden jeg kunne gå i gang, skulle jeg gøre mig færdig med Stephen Wests mysteriesamstrik fra oktober 2021, Shawlography. Som sædvanlig kommer man igennem mange og mærkelige teknikker, når man strikker Stephen West. Men underholdningen er sikret. Jeg har brugt sjalet mere end forventet, for jeg synes, det er mere mærkeligt end flot. 

Garnet er forskellige (FOR forskellige tykkelser) rester plus lidt nykøb for at få farver nok. Arwetta fra Filcolana, Blackhill Cottonwool Fine fra Garnudsalg, It’s for socks fra It’s Yarn, Møllers lammeuld.

Delen 1 en 2 van de Shawlography van Stephen West.

The first picture is Shawlography 2021 my first MKAL. The second picture is of this year’s. I want to start by saying I had ONLY been knitting 🧶 a year when I did Shawlograpy. I learned so much and had so much fun, even though I didn’t finish the shaw until the third week of November. This year I have cried, cursed, ALMOST QUIT and that was all during the First clue!! I am now in clue 2 where I have one section where I did the twisted rib correctly. This has not been fun! But I am going to push through until the end.
