Concept art of SF6 World Tour characters from the “Street Fighter 6 World Guide” book. I got myself the kindle version because I heard from atgrbread that there’s one concept art pic of F.A.N.G. I wanted to see it so bad that I end up buying this…just for one little picture lol.
But look what I got here!
Characters include Bosch, Li-Fen, Alice, Carlos Miyamoto, Thrasher Damnd, Rudra, Kalima, Yua, Uou & Saouo, Punch, Rewancha, Retsu, Bao Bao Bro, R.O.B.B.I.E., Blanka-Chan, Mel Masters, Singing Wolf, Azam, Eternity,
And my favorite, F.A.N.G 💜💜
I post these here because hardly anyone goes to Tumblr lol.
Anyway, the book essentially contains information and images about the characters that are already present in the game. There’s a lot of behind the scenes content that was written. It’s all in Japanese, so I used Google translate to read it lol. The information was quite intriguing on how the characters were conceptualized, how the game was designed, and why some of the returning characters were chosen to be part of SF6.
Some interesting things:
- A.K.I. was going to be a charge character, but the nature of her moves proved to be too difficult, so they changed her to motion.
- One of the inspirations of creating JP was of villain Magnussen from the Sherlock series.
- Ed was a huge drive for creating Street Fighter 6. It is said that his character in SFV had a handsome aesthetic and is easy to use. He was popular amongst new players. And that was how World Tour was created—it was meant to draw in new audiences and players and to ease them into fighting games. Also SFV Ed was the predecessor for Modern controls, despite him becoming a totally different character playstyle-wise in SF6. And his SFV theme song was a big inspiration for the music in SF6 as the theme of this game is hip hop.
I can’t believe I bought this just for a F.A.N.G pic, but I end up enjoying what i read 💜💜

now that i've seen more info on the stuff with bosch thanks to the jpn side of the fandom on twitter, i place a new theory on the table
the guy that's apparently bosch in the final main story cutscene? short red hair and missing the purple scars completely somehow. the cardboard combatant in the post-game tournaments you can do, however, still has the long black hair he had and also obviously the scars. big differences.
bosch was experimented on by shadaloo remnants. you know what shadaloo has a history of? making clones.
either short haired bosch is the clone, or the cardboard combatant is the clone. and no one's realized it, not even themselves.

I am loving SF6! What a great game. I'm not very good just yet but I'm going to keep trying to get better. Also meet my OC, Vixiee.
Currently, my online record with Marisa is pretty bad. But I'm inspired to keep going. I did improve by 5% since the weekend. So I'm climbing up.

So I haven't played it yet (no 💸) but from spoilers, the SF6 world tour mode ends with your best friend dead, you realizing the futility of struggling against evil, and your super positive first mentor giving you a last few desperate words of encouragement before you go off to train under the villain?
Holy shit that's dark for a game where you can look like the worst character Eiichiro Oda has ever drawn and get boomer texts from Karate Man.

I did some fighting in the streets...
I played a little GG Strive and SF6 today for the first time in ages, and customized both of my avatars to look more like Yuri. Kept my Strive one female, but redesigned my World Tour avatar to look like Yuri.
World Tour is fun but it's easier to use a standard controller since it plays more like an action game which is much harder to do with specialty fg specific controllers (e.g. fightsticks and hitboxes which I use). But when you fight, it switches back to standard sf controls (if you're using Classic like me at least). I'm thinking I'll try one of my fightpads next time.

M. Bison in SF6…Would the Story Make Sense? (In certain circumstances, yes)
Fans have been wanting M. Bison to come back for SF6. Most of it was just wishful thinking until the Rashid and A.K.I. DLC have been hinting at the possibility of it (and also if you’ve read the Toxicity story). Now with Ed coming along, we’ll definitely see more of what’s to come. But would the story flow make sense?
This basically goes in-line with an older post I made here:
I know a lot of people really want Bison to come back, but with the way the dialogue and cutscenes are written in World Tour, would a Master Bison make sense in the story? Now imagine Bison finally becomes dlc. People will buy him and play his World Tour segments. Sounds cool right? But what if some of those players didn’t bother buying AKI and/or Ed but decided to buy them AFTER finishing Bison’s World Tour? Npc F.A.N.G who came along with the AKI dlc talks as if Bison is still dead and that one day he and the organization will be revived….But Bison is alive because you’ve reached Level 20 and 100 bond points with him. AKI and perhaps Ed dlc story wouldn’t make sense by then. I’m not sure if the devs would address this possibility and would they make changes depending on what has taken place first? Adding dlc Bison as a Master in World Tour would definitely make a HUGE mess out of the flow of story if the earlier dlc characters were to be played afterwards.
BUT the story CAN make sense if it were to go through a certain route. I wrote this a long while ago and had a conversation with a friend about it:
“I thought to myself that in order to continue the story in a linear flow, you’ll have to finish all the set dlc characters first in order for the story to make sense. Like if you want to see Bison in World Tour, you’ll have to finish AKI’s and Ed’s first (and probably some other characters too). And perhaps a second dlc World Tour main plot would put the story together for the Bison revival? Lol I know it sounds crazy at this point, but I don’t know how the story would flow properly if people never bought AKI nor Ed as dlc and then bam! You got dlc Bison all of sudden without a coherent story lol.”
With that in mind, Bison would have been an expensive character to get. First buying AKI and Ed, and then who knows if there’s additional money involved in finally getting Bison. It certainly sounds like a gacha, but seeing all those avatar gear being the prices as they are, I wouldn’t be surprised if getting Bison or any other sought out future dlc character would be treated in a similar manner. Bison better be S-Tier LOL! Would be better if it were Drive Tickets though, especially if players have to buy AKI and Ed in order to acquire Bison.

i know World Tour moments with each master has different conversations depending on what you choose as answers
but unfortunately JP's is REALLY hard to clear twice for total coverage since he's unlocked post game
this is to say: between my playthrough and another youtube video featuring his WT convos, i've got every dialogue option *except 1 conversation*
if anyone has the transcript for the question "Do you believe the world to be just?" with the answer "I do.", let me know please!! ㅠㅡㅠ
