For this #selvedgesunday post I am looking at the @fobfactory_official F151 in the 14.75oz Riki Shokki denim. This denim has a very tight weave that is pretty uniform in texture. There is very little weft that shows through the warp, making it a solid dark indigo. This denim has a very unique feel to it, it is fuzzy and soft but at the same time very crunch and rigid. It almost has a papery feel to it. What really sets this denim apart is its creasing ability. It literally creases like paper. After wearing it for two days the honeycombs are extremely sharp. I've never seen anything like it, especially for one washed denim. Another thing about these jeans is the construction. Very, very clean and well done. Imo one of the most underrated Japanese brands is @fobfactory_official , especially their denim jackets. Their construction is excellent, on par with any top shelf brand. The G3 "Magical Loom" and the Riki Shokki loom denims are among some of my all time favorites. And the cuts are excellent. Their type I and type II jackets are some of the best I own. To top it off they are very generously priced. Pretty much only good things to say.
