Memo had her phone out, and was going around taking pictures of all the different banners she saw. She was hoping to get a picture each of every depicted sea creature, but there were so many...
One of the banners was hung high above her head, and she was having a little trouble getting a good angle at it. She had her phone aimed upwards at it, and she was taking steps backwards, looking through her phone’s camera at the banner instead of where she was walking.
Unfortunately, that led to her walking backwards straight into someone else (and almost causing her to drop her phone in the process).
“Oh—shoot–” she said, catching her phone against herself before it clattered to the ground. Embarrassment was written clear as day on her face as she turned to face who she bumped into. “I’m sorry! I was trying to get a picture...”

Hours had passed since his initial arrival; it had taken time to collect himself and decide on the best methods of learning more about Radial Island. Examining the hole in the very heart of the city was an option, but Chat Noir doubted that his own abilities would be suited to that sort of investigation. Without his sky skimmer, he’d never be able to move within its depths freely, much less get back out. That left another forbidden site: outside the city itself.
But that could wait. The hour grew later by the moment, and he’d been avoiding the communal areas of his apartment. Now would be an opportune time to make dinner, and perhaps introduce himself to his new roommates.
Disappointment and relief hit when he entered the kitchen to find it empty, but that might change once he began to cook. A tea kettle was quickly found and filled with water before being set to boil on the stove, and then he rummaged through the pantry and the fridge for suitable ingredients. Maybe he could make flounder or some kind of pasta? He’d prefer to keep the meal light, if possible.
It wasn’t long before the thief began to hum, lost in his own little world as he evaluated his options.

the scent of salt is in the air, and while the seagulls are being noisy as usual, it’s a good feeling to stand there, watching the waves. it’s early in the morning, the sun is about to rise, giving the current location a wonderful sight. but then, chuuya realizes that he’s not alone.
it seems like somebody joined the sunrise spectacle— not that he minds, though. however he realizes it’s early in the morning.
“bein’ up so early? or can’t ya just sleep?” he hopes he doesn’t scare the girl, he’s by no means a madman, he’s just curious to see somebody being at the beach this early.
he shrugs, then look back into the sunrise. “reminds me of home...”, he mutters quietly.

At first, Vanille didn’t recognise the young woman in front of her, and almost walked past her. She stopped in her tracks, turning back to look at her. Her brow furrowed, squinting. No, this couldn’t be Serah. Serah was trapped in crystal, wasn’t she? Unless she had already woken up, but that, too, seemed impossible.
“Um--” What was she doing? She knew it wasn’t Serah, but something kept telling her otherwise. “Serah?” Her voice was quiet and unsure. Maybe the stranger wouldn’t hear her, and maybe they could pretend this never happened.
